ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Edesia is a non-profit social enterprise on a mission to end global malnutrition. We manufacture and distribute life-saving, ready-to-use therapeutic foods, such as Plumpy'Nut and Nutributter, to treat and prevent malnutrition among children and mothers in the world's most vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities. Through strong partnerships with leading humanitarian organizations, NGOs, and Ministries of Health, we ensure our products reach those who need them most, even in the midst of the most complex and challenging humanitarian emergencies.
JOB SUMMARY:
Edesia is deploying Claude (Anthropic) as its primary AI assistant across all departments. This 6-8 month fixed-term role exists to ensure that deployment lands well: that key users and department champions are trained, confident, and self-sufficient by the end of the engagement, and that Edesia has the internal knowledge, materials, and practices to sustain AI adoption without ongoing external support.
This is primarily a people-facing, training-focused role. This person will spend the majority of their time working directly with staff, running workshops, coaching champions, building
practical resources, and gathering feedback to continuously improve adoption.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Claude Onboarding & User Training
  • Design and deliver onboarding programs for key users and department leads on how to use Claude effectively in their daily work
  • Develop role-specific training materials, prompt libraries, quick-reference guides, and best-practice resources tailored to Edesia's key functions (Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, etc.)
  • Run hands-on workshops and team coaching sessions across departments, including production floor, office, and warehouse staff
  • Adapt training to different levels of digital fluency; ensure no staff member is left behind
  • Collect feedback after each training session and continuously improve materials accordingly
2. Champion Development
● Identify 1-2 "AI Champions" per department: staff who show aptitude and enthusiasm, and who will sustain adoption after this role ends
● Provide deeper coaching and enablement to champions so they can independently support their teams
● Build a simple champion playbook: how to answer common questions, escalate issues, and share new Claude capabilities with their teams
● Facilitate a cross-functional champion community so learning is shared across departments before the role ends
3. Practical Use Case Documentation
  • Observe and document how Claude is (or could be) used across Edesia's key workflows: production, quality, procurement, logistics, HR, etc.
  • Capture and organize a library of validated prompts and use-case examples relevant to Edesia's context
  • Flag high-value use cases to the Director of Operations and IT Manager for potential future development
  • Prioritize breadth over depth: help as many staff as possible find practical daily value in Claude
4. Claude Platform Basics & Support
  • Serve as the day-to-day support contact for Claude-related questions from staff during the term of this role
  • Assist the IT Manager with user access setup, basic configuration, and onboard logistics for Claude
  • Document frequently asked questions, common issues, and their resolutions, handing this off to the IT team before the role ends
  • Escalate any platform-level technical issues to the IT Manager; this role is not responsible for infrastructure or integration work
5. Responsible Use & Handover
  • Communicate Edesia's acceptable use guidelines for Claude clearly and consistently across all training sessions
  • Ensure all trained users understand the importance of human review, data privacy, and the limits of AI-generated content
  • Deliver a structured handover package at the end of the term: training materials, champion playbook, use-case library, usage observations, and recommendations for next steps
  • Leave Edesia with a clear picture of where AI adoption stands and what actions would sustain or deepen it
6. Key Deliverables by End of Term
  • Month 1-2: Discovery complete; training needs mapped by department; first workshops delivered
  • Month 3-5: All key users trained; champions identified and in active coaching; use-case library in progress
  • Month 6-8: Champions self-sufficient; full training materials finalized; handover package delivered to IT Manager and Director of Operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience with LLM-based tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) in a professional environment
  • Demonstrated experience training, coaching, or enabling non-technical users to adopt new technology; change management or L&D background is a strong asset
  • Solid practical understanding of prompt engineering and LLM capabilities and limitations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with production floor staff and office teams equally
  • Self-directed and organized; able to manage a training calendar, track progress, and deliver a clean handover without close supervision
Preferred:
  • Experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or food industry environments
  • Familiarity with basic AI platform administration (user access, licensing)
  • Experience building internal training materials, prompt libraries, or knowledge-base resources
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Instructional Design, Communications, or similar) or equivalent practical experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This role is primarily on-site at Edesia's North Kingstown, Rhode Island facility (minimum 3 days per week). Regular presence across all departments, including the production floor, offices, and warehouse, is essential to deliver effective training and build trust with staff. Limited remote work may be agreed upon based on the training calendar and operational needs, in coordination with the Director of Operations
The term is expected to run 6-8 months. Extension or transition to a permanent role may be considered based on organizational needs and mutual agreement.
All work products created in the course of this role, including training materials, prompt libraries, the champion playbook, use-case documentation, and the handover package, is the property of Edesia
The requirements described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
