AI Engineer — Scrappy Builder Remote · LATAM · Full-Time Contract Location LATAM (Remote) Type Full-Time Contract Start ASAP Language English Required ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a hands-on AI Engineer who thrives in ambiguity and loves shipping fast. This is not a role for someone who designs systems for scale on day one — it's for a builder who can go from idea to working prototype in days, not weeks. You'll be working directly with an early-stage founder in test-and-learn mode. Expect narrow, welldefined problems where the highest value is speed of iteration, not architectural perfection. If you get energy from shipping scrappy, functional MVPs and improving them quickly — this role is for you. WHAT YOU'LL DO Build end-to-end AI workflows independently — from prompt to working product Prototype RAG pipelines, AI agents, or document processing tools in days, not months Iterate rapidly on feedback with minimal structure or overhead Own the full cycle: ideation build test ship improve Communicate directly with the client, translating fuzzy requirements into working demos Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to move even faster WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must-Have Has built complete AI workflows solo — not just contributed to large team systems Comfortable delivering 'ugly but working' first versions and iterating from there Startup, freelance, or solo founder background — used to owning outcomes end-to-end Strong experience with LLMs, RAG, and AI agents in real production use cases Fluent in English — you'll communicate directly with U.S.-based clients Nice-to-Have Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex for AI-assisted development Track record of shipping multiple small MVPs across different domains Familiarity with lightweight deployment: Lambda, minimal Docker setups, simple APIs Experience in eCommerce, fintech, or document-heavy workflows TECH STACK (FLEXIBLE) We care more about your ability to ship than your specific stack.
