AI Governance Specialist
About TDC Brands
TDC Brands is home to YouSee, TDC Erhverv, Telmore, Hiper, eesy and Relatel — around 3,000 employees and roughly 6 million consumer and business customer relationships in Denmark. We are the commercial and service side of Danish telecom; TDC NET owns and runs the physical network.
We are putting AI to work across customer service, digital channels, sales and our own internal operations. Doing that in a company millions of Danes rely on means doing it carefully.
Why this role exists
AI governance fails in one of two ways. It becomes a review gate that slows everything down, or it becomes a document nobody reads. We want neither.
This role keeps governance close to the work. You’ll own the practical machinery — the use-case inventory, the risk assessments, the evaluation and testing — and you’ll sit inside the proof-of-concepts as they are built, not review them afterwards. It is a rare combination of skills, and a good place to build a career: governance people who can actually build are scarce, and getting scarcer.
What you’ll do
- Own the agent inventory. Maintain a live picture of every AI agent we run, and of the copilots, RAG applications and embedded model features around them — what each one does, what data and systems it can reach, what it is allowed to do without a human, who owns it, and where it sits against EU AI Act risk categories.
- Run the assessments. Work through risk, privacy and security reviews with Legal, Privacy and Security colleagues, and turn their requirements into something an engineering team can act on.
- Test what we build. Design and run evaluations: accuracy, hallucination, bias, prompt injection, tool misuse and failure behaviour. Build the test sets and keep them current as models and agents change.
- Help build the proof-of-concepts. Work hands-on alongside the AI Evangelist and delivery teams — preparing data, writing and refining prompts, wiring up APIs, measuring whether the thing actually works.
- Document it properly. Model cards, decision records and system documentation that stand up to an audit and are still readable by the people who have to use them.
- Watch the horizon. Track regulation, guidance and tooling as they evolve, and translate them into short, practical checklists rather than long policy documents.
Your first year
- A complete, trusted inventory across the six brands — agents and the AI applications around them — with risk classifications and ownership everyone agrees on.
- A working evaluation approach applied to at least two production or near-production systems.
- Assessment and documentation templates that teams reach for because they save time, not because they are mandatory.
- A reputation as the person engineers invite into a project early rather than call at the end.
What we’re looking for
- Around 4 years’ experience in data, AI, technology risk, compliance or a closely related field.
- Enough hands-on ability to be useful in a prototype: Python at a practical level — notebooks, scripts, calling APIs — and comfort with how LLM applications are put together. You do not need to be a software engineer.
- A working understanding of GDPR, and genuine interest in the EU AI Act and what it means in practice.
- Clear, structured writing. Much of this job is making complicated things legible to someone who has fifteen minutes.
- The confidence to ask an uncomfortable question in a room of senior people, and the judgement to know which questions are worth asking.
If you meet most of this and the rest is learnable, we’d still like to hear from you.
Also useful, not required
- Experience in a regulated industry — telecom, finance, health or public sector.
- Familiarity with evaluation tooling and frameworks for LLM applications.
- Experience with Azure AI, AWS or Google Cloud AI services.
- Exposure to ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF or similar management frameworks.
- Danish language skills — useful for stakeholder work, but not a requirement.
What you’ll get out of it
- Direct mentoring from senior AI and architecture colleagues, and close work with Legal, Privacy and Security.
- Visibility across six brands and both consumer and business markets — unusual breadth for an early-career role.
- A seat at the table while an enterprise AI practice is being built, rather than inheriting one already built.
Practical details
- Location: Teglholmsgade 1, Copenhagen. Hybrid, with four days a week on site.
- Team: You’ll join Data & AI, a team of around 40 people, working alongside the Senior AI Evangelist.
- Language: English is our main language of communication. Danish is an advantage.
