Finance & Operations | Analytics in the age of AI

About Quant

Quant keeps machines working through smart services for a sustainable world. For over 30 years, Quant has been a market leader in industrial maintenance, enhancing safety, production, and equipment performance across more than 400 facilities worldwide. We are the number one partner in supporting the customer journey towards Smart Maintenance, achieved through a systematic maintenance approach with integrated digital tools to drive sustainability, plant performance, cost optimization, and safety. Our success stems from strong partnerships between Quant and our customers.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Quant operates in 12 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, employing 1,500 people.

Do you want to be a part of creating the future of maintenance?

The Role

We are looking for a proactive Analytics Engineer / BI Developer to join Quant. In this role, you will develop and maintain reporting and analytics for Finance and other business functions. Around half of your time is dedicated to Finance – building and developing Power BI reports and supporting their forecasting – and the other half to Operations and the wider business, where you keep reporting reliable and improve how we work with data.

You will also work alongside our AI engineers to develop new analytics capabilities, enabling business users to explore data simply by asking questions in natural language. As Quant's first dedicated analytics function, you will drive this work forward – setting priorities, guiding external consultants and partners, and shaping how Quant works with data.

What You Will Do

Finance Analytics

• Partner with Finance to build, develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards – P&L overviews, cost tracking, KPI follow-up and budget vs. actuals.

• Support Finance in building and developing their forecasting model, including the data models, drivers and scenarios behind it.

• Turn Finance's questions into reliable, reusable data models, so that the same number means the same thing in every report.

• Deliver the analyses and insights Finance needs to make decisions, and help stakeholders interpret the numbers.

Operations & Business Analytics

• Keep operational reporting running: troubleshoot and fix issues in reports, refreshes and data flows – and address the root causes so they do not come back.

• Develop and improve analytics for Operations and other functions, focusing on reusable models rather than one-off reports.

• Manage and prioritise the BI and analytics backlog together with stakeholders.

Analytics Foundation & AI

• Help build and develop Quant's analytics foundation, including reusable data models, shared KPI definitions and a well-structured semantic layer that supports both traditional BI and AI-driven analytics.

• Make our data ready for AI by documenting models, metrics, and business concepts so that AI tools can answer questions on our data correctly.

• Partner with our AI engineers on "chat with your data" solutions, and use AI tools in your own work to move faster – for DAX and SQL, documentation and testing.

• Ensure data quality and trust through validation, reconciliation and clear ownership of definitions.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Spend time with stakeholders in Finance, Operations and other functions to truly understand their needs – and suggest better solutions when there is one.

• Translate business needs into requirements, user stories and solutions that last.

• Take the lead in guiding external consultants and partners, and work closely with Group IT on the underlying data platform and integrations – ensuring that delivery meets the needs of the business.

Who Are You?

You might call yourself a data analyst, BI developer, or analytics engineer today – what matters is that you enjoy both understanding the business and building solid data models. You care about getting definitions right, building models that last, and seeing your work used in real decisions. You are curious about how AI is changing analytics and want to help shape it.

Experience from finance analytics is a strong plus, but not a requirement. What matters most is a genuine interest in understanding the numbers – and the people who use them.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modelling and DAX.

• Strong SQL and experience with data transformation and ETL.

• The ability to troubleshoot data issues across reports, refreshes and data pipelines.

• A track record of working closely with business stakeholders and translating their needs into solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience from finance analytics – for example P&L, budget, forecast and actuals reporting.

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Databricks.

• Python for data transformation and analysis.

• Experience with semantic layers, metric definitions or data governance.

• Experience using AI tools in analytics work, or an interest in connecting AI to data.

Personal Qualities

• Collaborative and curious – you ask "why" and listen before you build.

• Able to explain data and solutions clearly to non-technical colleagues.

• Structured, with high standards for quality and accuracy.

• Proactive and able to drive work independently, while enjoying being part of a team.

• Comfortable operating in a global matrix organization.

Language Requirements

We are a global organization, and fluency in written and spoken English is required. Swedish is an advantage, as is knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese.

What We Offer

The chance to shape how a global industrial company works with data in the age of AI – from a solid analytics foundation to entirely new ways of asking questions of our data.

• The chance to build and shape Quant's analytics function from the start.

• A role where you build the foundation for AI-driven analytics, not just reports.

• A varied mix of work: half Finance analytics, half Operations and the wider business.

• Close collaboration with Finance, Operations and AI specialists in a truly international environment.

• Hybrid work model with flexibility in your work location, with presence on dedicated office days in Stockholm.

• The opportunity to grow within a company that is a global leader in industrial maintenance.
