Assistant Research Scientist

Role Description The Assistant Research Scientist will support research and analytical initiatives related to emerging managers, independent sponsors, and alternative asset management trends. This part-time role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and organizing data, conducting literature and market reviews, assisting in designing research frameworks, and preparing concise research summaries and reports. The role also involves contributing to the development of educational content, helping maintain research databases, and coordinating with team members to ensure timely delivery of research outputs. The Assistant Research Scientist will be expected to uphold high standards of accuracy, clear communication, and professional integrity.

Qualifications

• Strong research and analytical skills, including data collection, literature review, and synthesis of complex information.
• Ability to write clear, structured research summaries, reports, and presentations tailored to professional audiences.
• Comfort with basic data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, databases) and interest in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Knowledge or strong interest in finance, alternative investments, or emerging managers is highly beneficial.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to prioritize tasks in a part-time hybrid environment.
• Effective written and spoken communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, or related discipline).
