Position Summary
As Associate Media Director, Brand, you will lead brand media strategy and planning across a portfolio of client accounts, including a core group of healthcare and health system clients. You will own local, national and global plans from brief through measurement, serve as the day-to-day media lead for clients, and partner with the Performance Media team to build every plan as one connected system.
You will plan across brand media channels including but not limited to premium video (linear/CTV/streaming), programmatic video and display (DSP), audio, OOH, brand partnerships, and custom activations. You will directly manage and develop Media Planners on your accounts and contribute to new business alongside the Director of Brand Media.
What You'll Do
• Lead brand media strategy and planning across multiple client accounts, connecting channel choices directly to client business objectives
• Serve as the primary media lead in client meetings, presenting plans, recommendations, and results to senior client stakeholders
• Partner with the Performance Media team to build every plan as one integrated system, aligned to a single business outcome
• Contribute media landscape and channel insight to strategy briefs, working with Account, Strategy, and Creative from the earliest stages of planning
• Oversee end-to-end campaign delivery, from planning and negotiation through trafficking, pacing, billing, and reporting
• Lead vendor negotiations for rates, positioning, added value, and custom opportunities
• Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for brand campaigns, and translate results into clear optimization recommendations
• Own quality control on plans, estimates, insertion orders, and reports produced by your team
• Manage and develop Media Planners: set goals, delegate, review work, conduct performance reviews, and provide input on promotion and compensation
• Support the Director of Brand Media on new business, from strategic ideation through plan development and pitch presentation
• Champion adoption of the agency's planning, buying, and workflow platforms to improve team speed and accuracy
• Coordinate with Account leads on day-to-day client direction, while retaining ownership of your team's development and quality standards
• Stay current on media trends and bring new points of view to clients and internal teams
What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 7–10 years of media or advertising agency experience
• Proven experience leading integrated brand media plans across multiple accounts and both traditional and digital channels
• Experience planning and buying local and regional broadcast, audio, and OOH alongside national digital campaigns
• Healthcare or health system media experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing and developing planners, including performance reviews
• Fluency in media measurement and analytics, with a track record of using data to drive optimization
• A track record of gaining trust through sound judgment, including under pressure
• Experience partnering with performance media counterparts to build integrated plans across brand and performance
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to translate media strategy for senior client audiences
• Experience planning Spanish-language or multicultural media a plus

• Familiarity with media plan management and workflow platforms such as Bionic, Mediaocean, or Basis, or similar tools
• Google Marketing Platform (Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, Looker Studio)
• Working knowledge of paid social, paid search, and self-serve platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads) to inform how brand strategy translates across the full media ecosystem
