Role Overview
Job Duck is seeking a Bilingual Legal Assistant to support a legal team with essential administrative and legal tasks that contribute to efficient case management and daily operations. In this role, you will work closely with legal professionals, assisting with document preparation, government filings, and a variety of legal support responsibilities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently while maintaining a collaborative approach with the broader team. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced legal environment.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST
Your Responsibilities Will Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Preparing legal forms and documentation
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Completing additional legal and administrative tasks as assigned
- Ensuring documents are prepared accurately and submitted on time
- Filing FOIA requests and related legal documents
- Assisting the Senior Paralegal with ongoing legal matters
- Supporting legal case preparation and organization
- Communicating with internal team members regarding case progress
- Coordinating and managing legal files
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a legal support role, and/or a related bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies
- Experience working in a legal environment preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with legal team members
- Ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proactive mindset and ability to take initiative
- Strong team player mentality
- Quick learner with strong adaptability
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
