Hiring Company:

A major global energy company operating across conventional power generation, renewable energy, gas and LNG. The company is advancing digital transformation through data utilization, business-process standardization and the adoption of emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Support solution design and architecture reviews across business applications, cloud solutions and system integrations.
• Analyze business processes and requirements, including As-Is/To-Be assessments and Fit/Gap analysis.
• Review application architecture, including workflows, user interfaces and user experience.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including generative AI, and plan and promote PoCs.
• Develop, maintain and promote architecture standards, design principles, technical guidelines and reusable templates.
• Maintain an architecture repository of standards, principles and reference architectures.
• Coordinate with business units, digital teams, technology specialists and external partners to align requirements and technology decisions.

Required Skills:

Candidates do not need to meet every technical requirement. Relevant experience in one or more core areas may be sufficient.

• 3+ years of experience in solution design across applications, infrastructure or system integration, including conceptual or basic design.
• 3+ years of experience in at least one area: technical standards, design principles, architecture reviews or architecture governance.
• 3+ years of experience understanding business processes and organizing or evaluating business requirements.
• Experience evaluating or implementing generative AI or data-related technologies, such as Copilot, Dataiku or LLM platforms.
• Understanding of application architecture and the ability to evaluate UI/UX.
• 3+ years of experience in business communication, negotiation or stakeholder alignment.
• Business-level Japanese (N1 or equivalent), with the ability to communicate and work in Japanese.

Preferred Skills:

• Cloud architecture and design experience with AWS and/or Azure, including non-functional requirements.
• Experience planning and promoting PoCs for emerging technologies.
• Experience establishing and promoting architecture standards across an organization.
• English communication skills at intermediate level or above.

Working Hours:

Flexible working hours with no core time.

Working Style:

Hybrid — approximately 50% office / 50% WFH, according to company policy.

• Annual salary: JPY 10M–12M, depending on experience.
