Hiring Company:

A major global technology company operating across e-commerce, fintech, digital content, communications, and other internet services. Its AI and Data organization develops and operates data-driven platforms, including recommendation and personalization systems used across its digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and improve a large-scale recommendation platform across Google Cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Build and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure using automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Improve packaging, deployment, and release processes through CI/CD, containers, and orchestration.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting, and troubleshoot production, infrastructure, and network issues.
• Work with software engineers and data scientists to deploy and operate recommendation models and services.
• Identify improvements to platform reliability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating production-grade services.
• Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills.
• Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with a major cloud platform; Google Cloud experience is preferred.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Understanding of distributed systems, high-availability architecture, and networking fundamentals.
• Good development practices, including version control, pull requests, and testing.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international engineering team.

Preferred Skills:

• Scripting or development experience in Python, Scala, Java, or Ruby.
• Experience with Spark, Kafka, Couchbase, or Redis.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer certification or equivalent.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Interest in data analytics, machine learning, and recommendation systems.

Working Hours:

9:00–17:30 (Mon–Fri)

Working Style:

Hybrid — 4 days in the office / 1 day WFH
