仕事内容

日本での日常業務を円滑に進めるための調整と、一部の実験の補助を担当していただきます。拠点は山梨県中央市です。事務業務は柔軟にリモートで行い、事前に合意した日程で県内のほかの業務拠点を訪問することもあります。フルタイム、パートタイムのいずれも相談可能です。無理なく通勤できる範囲にお住まいの方を特に歓迎します。

業務では動物、血液、生体組織、手術用機器や灌流装置を扱います。科学分野の専門教育を受けていることは必須ではありませんが、このような環境で働くことに抵抗がなく、指導を受けながら実務上の手順を学ぶ意欲が必要です。

主な業務

- スケジュール、会議、出張、購買、請求書、配送、日常的な記録の管理。

- 大学、取引先、地域の協力先との日本語・英語での連絡調整。

- 必要に応じて助言を求めながら、日常的な連絡、文書、作業指示を翻訳。

- 消耗品、在庫、機器の記録、実験チェックリストの管理。

- 作業場所、機器、消耗品の準備と、作業後の片付け・原状復帰の補助。

- 指導の下での研究チームの補助、明確な記録の作成、問題への継続的な対応。

必須条件

- 業務上の会話、読み書きに対応できる日本語力。

- 国際的な経営チームと、同僚の通訳に頼らず、直接かつ自立してやり取りできる流暢な英語力。複雑な科学・業務上の議論を理解し、未知の専門用語を学び、英語で会話と文書のやり取りができること。業務開始時から必須です。

- 現在日本に居住しており、日本で適法に居住・就労できること。

- 合意した日程で現地勤務ができ、実作業、身体を動かす作業、屋外作業にも対応できること。

- 優れた業務整理能力、細部への注意力、的確な判断力を持ち、責任を持って仕事をやり遂げられること。

- 表計算、共有文書、カレンダー、一般的な事務用ツールを使いこなせること。

- 手順を学び、指示を注意深く守り、不明な点は確認できること。

優先順位が変わり、情報が十分にそろわないこともある創業初期の研究環境で、主体的に働ける方を求めています。日常業務を整理し、優先順位が競合する場合や指示が不明確な場合には早めに相談できること、的確に判断し、合意されたラボの手順を守ることを重視します。

歓迎する経験

事務、ラボ補助、臨床・獣医療、研究調整、購買、物流の経験。日本の大学、病院、取引先、企業での業務環境に詳しい方を歓迎します。運転免許を持ち、近隣での運転に対応できることが望まれます。

細かな事務作業と現場での実務補助の両方に関心のある方に適した仕事です。科学分野の資格よりも、信頼性、語学力、学ぶ意欲を重視します。国籍を問わずご応募いただけます。

勤務条件

- フルタイム又はパートタイム。勤務形態は相談の上で決定し、できるだけ早い勤務開始を希望します。

- 日本国内での現地雇用。事務業務は柔軟にリモートで行い、合意した日程で現地勤務を行います。

- 給与：フルタイムの場合、関連経験に応じて月額400,000～500,000円（税・社会保険料等の控除前）。パートタイムの給与は、合意した労働時間に応じて按分します。

- この職種では、就労ビザのスポンサー支援及び転居支援はありません。

About Eightsix Science:

Eightsix Science is an early-stage neurotechnology company operating internationally across the Netherlands and Japan. We develop advanced technologies for long-term brain preservation and neural life support, working at the intersection of neurosurgery, perfusion engineering, and biohybrid neural interfacing. Our research programme combines industry resources with academic infrastructure. We are research-intensive, publication-oriented, and committed to fostering scientific co-authorship opportunities for our team members.

The role:

Help organise our day-to-day work in Japan and support selected experiments. Based in Chuo, Yamanashi, with flexible remote administrative work and agreed visits to other work sites within the prefecture. Full-time and part-time arrangements are possible; candidates within practical commuting distance are especially welcome.

The work involves animals, blood, biological tissue and surgical or perfusion equipment. Scientific training is not essential, but you must be comfortable in this environment and willing to learn practical procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities:

- Organise calendars, meetings, travel, purchasing, invoices, deliveries and routine records.

- Communicate with universities, suppliers and local partners in Japanese and English.

- Translate routine messages, documents and practical instructions, seeking help when needed.

- Maintain supplies, inventories, equipment records and experimental checklists.

- Prepare workspaces, equipment and consumables, and help restore the workspace afterwards.

- Support the scientific team under supervision; keep clear notes and follow problems through.

Requirements:

- Professional spoken and written Japanese.

- Fluent spoken and written English for direct, independent communication with our international leadership team. You must be able to follow complex scientific and operational discussions, learn unfamiliar technical terminology, and communicate without relying on a colleague to interpret. This is essential from the start.

- Current residence in Japan and valid permission to live and work there.

- Availability for agreed on-site days, including practical, physical or outdoor tasks.

- Strong organisation, attention to detail, good judgement and dependable follow-through.

- Confidence using spreadsheets, shared documents, calendars and common office tools.

- Ability to learn procedures, follow instructions carefully and ask when something is unclear.

You thrive in an early-stage research environment where priorities can change and information is sometimes incomplete. You take initiative, bring structure to day-to-day operations and communicate early when priorities conflict or instructions are unclear. You exercise sound judgement and follow agreed laboratory procedures.

Desirable experience:

Administration, laboratory support, clinical or veterinary work, research coordination, purchasing or logistics. Familiarity with Japanese university, hospital, supplier or corporate environments is useful. A driving licence and willingness to drive locally are desirable.

You should enjoy both detailed administrative work and practical support. Reliability, language ability and willingness to learn matter more than scientific qualifications. Applicants of any nationality are welcome.

Working arrangement:

- Full-time or part-time by agreement; start as soon as possible.

- Local employment in Japan, with flexible remote administrative work and agreed days on site.

- Salary: JPY 400,000-500,000 gross per month for full-time work, depending on relevant experience. Part-time remuneration is pro rata for agreed working hours.

- Visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available for this role.
