Budget Manager

Role Description The Budget Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the financial planning and budgeting processes for Sard Cultural Centre’s programs and operations. On a day-to-day basis, the Budget Manager will prepare and monitor budgets for cultural events and initiatives, track actual expenses versus forecasts, and provide regular financial reports to leadership. The role includes analyzing financial data, identifying variances, and recommending adjustments to ensure resources are allocated effectively and aligned with strategic priorities. The Budget Manager will collaborate with program coordinators and management to support decision-making, maintain accurate financial records, and uphold internal controls and compliance with relevant financial policies.

Qualifications

• Strong budget management and budgeting skills, with experience developing, monitoring, and adjusting budgets for projects or programs.
• Solid finance and accounting skills, including understanding of financial statements, cost tracking, and basic reporting practices.
• Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and present clear, data-driven insights.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and financial management tools (e.g., Excel or similar), and comfort working in digital, remote environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in budget or financial management within cultural, nonprofit, events, or arts organizations is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple budgets and deadlines on a part-time schedule.
• Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are considered a plus for working with regional stakeholders.
