We are seeking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst to join our Schools team on a fixed term contract basis until December 2027. This role is based at our Dublin 1 office; however, we are pleased to offer a flexible working arrangement via our Work-Life Balance Framework. This allows you to work from home up to three (3) days a week . You will be expected to work at least two (2) days a week in the office, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a balanced and dynamic work environment. What the School Team does We provide all of Ireland’s primary and post-primary schools (approx. 3,900 schools) with high-availability internet and network security services for more than 900,000 teachers and students. Along with connectivity, the Schools team provide a range of essential services to both primary and post-primary schools, including Internet Content-Filtering, IP address allocation & Firewall Services. These essential services make the Asiera Schools Network one of the largest proactively managed networks in the country. What the Business Analyst does Reporting to the Schools Programme Manager, the Business Analyst will work as a key member of a project team and will play a significant role in achieving the objectives and activities of the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mapping and documenting ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business processes, upgrading existing systems and implementing and testing new systems. You will have duties that include, but are not limited to: Meeting with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements Analysing workflows to create process maps and training documents Preparing Test Scripts Coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Preparing project documentation Providing training and assistance to system-users How we do it Our company values underpin how we do things in Asiera. At least two (2) years’ experience in a business analysis role with proven experience developing business process documentation, developing UAT test scripts and stakeholder engagement. Proven knowledge and experience of business analysis approaches, tools and techniques. Ability to develop constructive and collaborative working relationships both internally and externally. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Sound judgment, problem solving and collaboration in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to problems. A flexible attitude to the evolving needs of the role and its environment. Trustworthy, open and transparent, with a high degree of personal integrity. A high level of motivation and enthusiasm for the job. Bonus Points We don’t need you to have experience in the following areas, but if you did it could be beneficial: Domain knowledge in the following area: ICT technologies, in particular Systems and Networks/ISP environment; Experience in ISO 27000 Information Security Management; Previous experience in, or strong understanding of the public sector, and the education sector particularly; Strong understanding of all aspects of systems implementation and software development life cycles; Knowledge of public procurement tendering processes; More important information At Asiera we celebrate diversity and understand how important it is to our ongoing success.
