SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

• The Business Analyst T&I service plays a key role in the digital transformation of the Assets department. To ensure that the lights stay on during the energy transition, the increase in renewable energy and the nuclear phase-out, Client must transform into a digital TSO (transmission system operator). This digital transformation is also necessary to support Client's strong ambitions to achieve strong improvements in efficiency and quality.
• The Assets Directorate is primarily responsible for the maintenance of the high-voltage electrical grid and the commissioning of grid expansions. Safety, quality and efficiency are our core values.
• The current call focuses on projects in the field of remote maintenance and predictive maintenance. Keywords are Industrial Internet of Things, Machine2Machine, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence. In addition to the traditional tasks of a business analyst, this position requires an open mind to innovative technologies – both in terms of ICT (communication, AI, etc.) and hardware (sensors, actuators, smart assets, etc.) – and to analyse their potential for Client.
• The business analyst service is responsible for setting up efficient business processes. In addition, he/she captures the business needs and translates them into business requirements for IT systems. In doing so, he/she bridges the gap between the business and the users on the one hand and the various IT partners (functional analyst, project manager, architect, etc.) on the other, challenging all parties. It is extremely important to understand how the business works and what their needs are, the functional analyses themselves are carried out by IT.
• We are looking for an experienced and mature business analyst, who is not only able to analyze and improve the processes, but also to identify the impact of a change on the various processes and systems. Finally, he/she must be able to capture and describe the business needs and bridge the gap with IT (functional analysts, architects, etc.). It is crucial to coordinate well with the various colleagues: with the other BAs responsible for the other business processes; with the other departments within Client and with 50Hz, with the end users, etc.

SPECIFICALLY, THE TASKS INCLUDE:

• Modeling the business processes and guiding the business in redesigning their processes.
• Performing impact analyses
• Uitwerken van context diagrams, business domain models en user stories / use cases
• Defining the business needs regarding the IT tools to support these processes and guidelines to use these tools.
• Challenging the business with regard to their needs and the to-be processes.
• Coordinating and validating requirements between/by the business and IT.
• Validating the functional analysis of IT.
• Supervising data quality initiatives and data migrations.
• After the implementation of a tool: testing and validating the releases.
• Playing an active role in the change, including drafting training materials and providing training (to the end users) according to the existing change management methodology and supported by the change management toolkit.
• Supporting the business in the use of the IT tools during the post-implementation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's preferably in technical direction or equivalent through experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in capturing and describing business needs.
• At least 5 years of experience in analyzing and modeling business processes.
• Experience in modeling the information needs of the business within the processes.
• Knowledge of IoT, AI, or other relevant technologies is a plus.
• Experience with the maintenance of industrial assets is a plus.
• Knowledge of drawing up and implementing a test plan.
• Experience in formatting training materials for end users
• Strong analytical skills and sufficiently critical.
