About Churchill Tax Advisers
Churchill Tax Advisers is a UK firm of tax specialists, tax advisers and tax investigation specialists. The firm has offices in central London, Stansted, Essex (Ilford), Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.
The firm is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and is regulated and authorised to provide taxation advice by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Services include tax advice, HMRC tax investigations (including Code of Practice 9 and the Worldwide Disclosure Facility), accounts, tax returns and general accounting.
Purpose of the Role
You will be the first voice our enquirers hear. Your job is to call every new Tax and Churchill Club enquiry quickly, understand what the person needs, and book the right next step with our UK advisers: a paid consultation at £300 plus VAT, or a planning meeting for larger projects.
This frees our senior advisers to spend their time on advice and high-value planning work, such as property incorporation, estate planning and family investment companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Call new Tax enquiries promptly, working from the call script, and qualify each one using our standard questions and high-value score.
- Book the paid consultation at £300 plus VAT, take or send payment as agreed, and confirm the booking in writing.
- Identify high-value enquiries and book planning meetings with a senior adviser.
- Handle Churchill Club enquiries using the information the Club team provides.
- Log every call, outcome and next step in the CRM on the same day.
- Follow up enquirers who do not book, using the agreed follow-up sequence.
- Pass technical tax questions, urgent deadlines, HMRC enquiries, complaints and anything you are unsure about to the Head of Operations, using the handover template.
- Once our legal and compliance check is signed off, run outbound calls to referral partners (accountants, solicitors and financial advisers) and to approved prospect lists, screened against TPS and CTPS.
- Report weekly on your activity and results.
What This Role Does Not Do
- Give tax advice of any kind, or say whether a relief, planning idea or structure applies to someone. Our UK advisers do this.
- Quote fees other than the approved consultation fee and any wording approved by management.
- Contact anyone on a prospect list before the compliance sign-off.
Training
Two weeks of structured training covering our services, the call script and FAQ, listening to and role-playing calls, the CRM, data protection rules, and supervised calls before you take calls on your own.
The 60-Day Trial
Your performance will be reviewed at day 14, day 30 and day 60 against the headings below. Specific performance targets will be established during onboarding.
- Speed to lead: Time from enquiry to first call.
- Contact rate: Enquiries reached within the agreed time.
- Paid consultation rate: Share of enquiries that book and pay for a consultation.
- High-value share: Share of paid consultations that are high-value.
- Show rate: Booked consultations that go ahead.
- Call quality score: From reviewed calls, including zero advice given.
- Routing accuracy: Right enquiries to the right adviser.
- CRM hygiene: Calls logged the same day with all fields complete.
- Follow-up compliance: Non-bookers followed up per the sequence.
About You
Essential Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in high-value telephone sales or customer success.
- Clear, confident spoken and written English, and comfortable speaking with UK callers and familiar with a range of UK accents.
- Strong CRM habits: accurate, same-day notes.
- Good judgement: knows when to stop and pass a question on.
- Awareness of data protection rules (GDPR and/or POPIA) and handling personal information carefully.
- A quiet home workspace, reliable internet, a headset, and a backup for power cuts.
Nice to Have
- B2B or financial services phone sales (accountancy, tax, legal, insurance or wealth management).
- Experience selling a paid consultation or a high-value professional service.
- Experience with UK clients and UK office hours.
- Familiarity with UK marketing rules such as PECR and the TPS and CTPS registers.
- Experience with LinkedIn for business development.
How to Apply

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and a short role-play call.
