Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday – Friday)

About the Company

We are an emerging, fast-growing telecommunications and enterprise solutions provider entering our third year of operations in Nigeria. Having established a solid initial customer base, we are actively expanding our market footprint across the country. We specialize in SMS & Bulk Messaging, USSD, SIP Trunking, VoIP, UCaaS, Toll-Free Numbers, and Enterprise Connectivity solutions.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly commercially driven, proactive, and target-oriented Business Development Manager to lead and scale our sales operations. In this role, you will own the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation and acquiring corporate accounts to building strategic partnerships with mobile network operators (MNOs) and industry regulators.

As a key early hire tasked with building out our sales department, you will drive business growth, expand our market footprint, and establish our company as a preferred provider for enterprise communications in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation & Client Acquisition: Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across enterprise sectors (Fintech, Banking, Corporate), focusing primarily on A2P SMS/Bulk SMS, alongside USSD, SIP Trunking, VoIP, UCaaS, Toll-Free lines, and Connectivity.
  • Full-Cycle Sales Management: Lead prospecting, solution discovery, technical pitch presentations, pricing proposals, commercial negotiations, and contract closings through to onboarding.
  • Pipeline & Departmental Growth: Build and manage a high-performing sales pipeline, systematically hit monthly/quarterly revenue targets, and establish structured processes to develop the sales department.
  • Technical Collaboration & Customization: Partner with the internal technical team to scope client requirements, design customized communications packages, and deliver technical solutions to clients.
  • Operator & Regulatory Partnership: Build and maintain strategic working relationships with major telecom operators (MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile), regulatory authorities (NCC), and key industry associations.
  • Account Expansion & Retention: Drive cross-selling and upselling initiatives across existing corporate accounts to maximize lifetime value and client retention.
  • Market Intelligence & Forecasting: Monitor market dynamics, pricing trends, and competitor offerings to refine go-to-market strategies and provide clear revenue forecasting and CRM reports to executive management.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecommunications, Communications, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree (M.Sc.) is an added advantage.
