Business Development Manager | TBE
[Remote] · Full-time · Start: November 2026
Most BD roles mean cold emailing from a spreadsheet for two years before anyone lets you near a real deal.
This isn't one of those.
Since 2024, TBE has ran 157 events across 24 cities in 14 countries, with 83,000+ attendees, 1.9B+ social impressions and 235+ partners, including OKX, Tether, Solana, OKX, Ripple, MetaMask, CoinDesk, Pantera, Hedera, 0G, ChangeNOW, BloFin, Fasset and 1Win.
TBE produces large scale and private, curated events at the biggest conferences in digital assets and fintech: TOKEN2049, Consensus, Money20/20 and more. Think penthouse dinners, villa sessions and big Afterdark nights where founders, funds and execs actually do business.
In 2027 we're taking that to 12 conference weeks across Asia, the US and the Middle East, and we need someone to help sell it. You'll book meetings for the founding team from day one, close your own deals within your first few months, and work alongside a sharp, fast growing team.
What you'll sell
- Single events: $20k–100k. A private reception, a session co-host spot, an Afterdark package.
- Annual partnerships: $150k–600k. A full year across the roadshow, with the fee returned as event credits.
You'll start on single events and Silver-tier partnerships, and work the bigger deals with the founders.
What you'll do
- Build and work a pipeline of sponsors: exchanges, protocols, fintechs, payment companies and funds
- Research targets properly: who holds the budget, what they're trying to achieve, and why our rooms are worth it to them
- Book qualified sponsor calls for yourself and the founders
- Run outreach across LinkedIn, Telegram, email and in person at events
- Own your deals from first call to signed contract
- Show up at the events you sell and make sure sponsors get what they paid for
What success looks like in year one
- 15+ qualified sponsor calls booked a month
- $500k in closed deals in 2027
- Your first deal closed before Consensus Hong Kong in February
Who you are
- 3-5 years in sales, BD, partnerships or a hustle-heavy startup role (or zero years and a strong reason we should talk anyway)
- You know your way around crypto or fintech and can hold your own with a founder or a CMO
- You'd rather be on a call than hiding behind decks
- Rejection doesn't slow you down, and you follow up relentlessly with people
- You’re not shy, and know how to work a room
- You write short, clear messages that people actually reply to
- If you haven’t sold business over $200k a year, don’t apply
- Comfortable with time zones and travel. SEA, US, Dubai are a plus.
What you get
- Base, plus 10% commission on every deal you close, uncapped
- Equity in TB Group holding company
- A clear path into a senior partnerships role, earned on results, not tenure
- Direct mentorship from the founders, plus access to rooms most people take a decade to get into
- Travel to Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Miami, NYC and wherever the calendar takes us
- A massive network that compounds: every event puts you face to face with the leading founders, VCs, family offices, and leaders in our industry
At target, that's $70k–100k in year one, with no cap on the upside.
