You will be on the front lines of the digital economy, investigating industry shifts, interviewing founders, and breaking down complex financial or technological trends into compelling, accessible stories. Key Responsibilities

• News Coverage & Reporting: Pitch, research, and write daily news stories and weekly long-form features covering startups, enterprise tech, digital finance, and market trends.
• Interviews & Sourcing: Cultivate a strong network of industry contacts, conducting interviews with executives, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
• Editorial Standards: Adhere strictly to BusinessCabal’s editorial guidelines, ensuring all reporting is factual, unbiased, and transparently sourced.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry reports, press releases, and global market shifts to identify emerging stories before they hit mainstream feeds.
• Collaborative Publishing: Work closely with the Managing Editor to refine story angles and collaborate with the growth team to ensure headlines are optimized for digital distribution and syndication.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a reporter, staff writer, or journalist, specifically covering business, technology, finance, or startups.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio of published clips demonstrating your ability to handle complex subject matter.
• A strong understanding of the digital media landscape and journalistic ethics.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment, turning around breaking news quickly while managing longer-term investigative pieces.
• Familiarity with WordPress and basic digital publishing workflows.
