Chief Technical Officer (Manufacturing)

Job Description This is a remote position. Location: Remote Engagement Type: Fractional/ Advisory (16 hours per month) Time zone : CET ± 3 hours We are looking for a Fractional CTO with deep FMCG and Manufacturing experience to provide strategic advisory on technology, innovation, and data-driven transformation. The CTO will guide the company in transitioning to a data-led operating model, optimising SAP and CRM systems, leveraging AI, and enabling actionable insights for sales, marketing, and operations. Key Deliverables: Advise on a technology roadmap that integrates AI, CRM, SAP, cloud, and data-driven systems to support business growth and operational efficiency. Provide strategic guidance on end-to-end system architecture, ensuring seamless integration between cloud-based and on-prem infrastructure. Recommend AI-enabled tools for product design, creative testing, and market insights. Guide initiatives for geo-tagging and geo-tracking to empower the sales team with actionable customer and product intelligence. Advise on data-driven sales operations, including product visibility, strategic product push, and portfolio simplification. Provide oversight on digital transformation programs, ensuring that technology enables sales, marketing, and operational teams to make informed decisions. Support organizational change management, helping teams adopt AI, cloud, SAP, and analytics solutions effectively. Advise on sustainability, smart manufacturing, and advanced R&D technologies, ensuring alignment with long-term business strategy. Represent the company in industry forums, innovation councils, and strategic partnerships with technology providers, startups, and academic institutions. Requirements Ideal Profile: Proven experience as a CTO or senior technology leader in FMCG or Manufacturing, preferably in marketing-led or data-driven organizations. Strong advisory experience with SAP, CRM platforms, AI tools, and cloud-based architectures. Deep understanding of sales enablement, product portfolio strategy, and data-driven decision-making. Experience guiding large-scale digital and enterprise transformation programs across multi-national operations. Ability to strategically align technology investments with business priorities and guide executive teams in actionable decisions ​
