Comic Illustrator & 2.5D Animator (Hybrid Artist) - Long-Term Contract

About the role

We're looking for one artist who can draw and animate. You'll create hand-drawn action comic panels and turn them into motion comic videos in After Effects. It's a long-term monthly contract with up to 40 panels per month, each video 36 seconds long.

What you'll do

- Create clean, final comic panels from storyboards and reference images

- Deliver layered files, with characters split into movable parts and backgrounds painted in behind them

- Animate in After Effects with 2.5D parallax, camera moves, effects and music sync

- Keep character designs consistent across every frame

- Turn revisions around fast

What we're looking for

- A strong hand-drawn comic or action portfolio

- Clean layered PSD workflow (Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint or Procreate)

- Solid After Effects skills

- One consistent style across many panels

- Reliable delivery on tight turnarounds

Good to know

Reference images come from the client and some may be AI-generated. Your final linework must be fully hand-drawn, with no AI tools, auto-trace or filters.
