About the Role

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented Content Creator to join our team in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Content Creator will be responsible for developing & executive creative content ideas, planning and shooting video content, and editing videos for the company's social media platforms. The role is primarily focused on video content creation & production.


The successful candidate must develop and execute creative content ideas, plan and shoot video content, edit videos, and transform ideas into engaging, high-quality video content.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop creative and engaging content ideas based on the company's objectives and target audience.
  • Plan and prepare for content shoots, including scripts, concepts, locations, props, and shot lists where required.
  • Shoot high-quality video content using a smartphone or other appropriate equipment.
  • Report onsite once weekly for scheduled content shoots and other creative activities.
  • Create short-form video and audio content such as Reels, promotional videos, talking-head videos, behind-the-scenes content, b-rolls, and other relevant formats.
  • Direct and coordinate individuals participating in content shoots to ensure quality output.
  • Edit raw footage into polished and engaging videos suitable for social media platforms.
  • Add appropriate transitions, captions, text, graphics, music, sound effects, and other elements during editing.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, viral content formats, sounds, challenges, and creative concepts.
  • Adapt relevant trends to align with the company's brand and target audience.
  • Develop video scripts, hooks, storyboards, and content concepts where required.
  • Capture quality photographs and other visual assets during content production.
  • Ensure all completed content aligns with the company's brand guidelines and creative direction.
  • Organise and properly store raw footage, edited videos, photographs, and other content assets.
  • Submit completed content for review and approval within agreed timelines.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure content produced meets the required and approved content plan.
  • Make revisions to content based on feedback from the Creative Director.


Required Skills


  • 1–3 years of experience in content creation, videography, social media content production, or a related field.
  • Strong mobile video shooting and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in video creation & editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, or similar applications.
  • Good understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts content formats.
  • Strong understanding of video composition, framing, lighting, and audio recording.
  • Ability to develop creative and engaging content concepts.
  • Good storytelling and communication skills.
  • Ability to write simple video scripts, hooks, and content outlines.
  • Creative, proactive, and willing to experiment with new content ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must be available to work onsite once a week in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
  • Comfortable appearing in videos when required.

  • Basic photography skills.
  • Experience with Canva or other graphic design tools.
  • Experience working with content calendars.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating previous video/content creation work.

  • Quality and creativity of content produced.
  • Consistent delivery of assigned video content within agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to produce content according to the approved content plan.
  • Quality of video shooting, editing, sound, lighting, and overall presentation.
  • Number of approved content pieces produced within the agreed period.
  • Ability to effectively incorporate current trends into relevant content.
  • Adherence to brand guidelines and creative direction.
  • Timely implementation of revisions and feedback.
  • Proper organisation and storage of raw and completed content.
  • Attendance and active participation in weekly onsite content production activities.
Important Scope of the Role

The Content Creator is responsible for content production and NOT content publishing.

The role does not include:

  • Publishing posts on social media platforms.
  • Scheduling social media posts.
  • Managing social media accounts.
  • Responding to comments or messages.
  • Community management.
  • Social media analytics/reporting, unless specifically assigned.
Working Arrangement

This is a hybrid position. The successful candidate will work remotely during the week and will be required to work onsite at least once every week in Abeokuta, Ogun State, primarily for content shooting, creative collaboration, planning, and other activities requiring physical presence.
