Show job description

If you're an avid runner, love shoes and write English at a native level, we NEED you. Come work with us as a content writer and help turn data from the world’s largest running shoe database into reviews that millions of runners can trust.

Primary responsibilities

  • Run in and evaluate running shoes, combining your real-world experience with the results from our independent lab tests.
  • Write detailed, engaging and easy-to-understand running shoe reviews in English.
  • Explain technical findings in a way that helps everyday runners choose the right shoes.
  • Continuously improve and update our existing reviews, buying guides and more.

Secondary responsibilities (depending on your interests and skills)

  • Improve our test methods or help develop new ones.
  • Analyze expected demand to determine which shoes should be tested next.
  • Work with categories beyond running (hiking, gym, basketball or tennis).
  • Manage our social media.
  • Help with our photo or video production.
  • Take on anything else that matches your interests and skills and aligns with our key objectives.

What it's like to work at RunRepeat

  • A ton of flexibility. No rules about when you work. No 9 am to 6 pm. Do what works for YOU!
  • We have minimal bureaucracy and high autonomy. At RunRepeat, you OWN your work. There are no deadlines other than those you set yourself.
  • Barely any meetings.
  • Run in and test a huge variety of shoes from our lab. You'll never have to buy new shoes again.
  • This is a unique opportunity for the right person. It's a role that can expand based on skills and performance.
  • We're a small team of 12 people who have been at RunRepeat for an average of 7 years. Apparently, it's not so bad here after all.
  • This is a hybrid role based in Porto or Aveiro (whichever you prefer). You'll need to be at the lab at least 3 days a week. Applicants must live within a 1-hour drive of Porto or Aveiro or be willing to relocate. If you need to relocate, we'll cover your relocation costs.

The ideal candidate

Minimum requirements below. If you have these, you're one of few people in Portugal and we NEED you:

  • Native-level written English.
  • You plan your life around your running. You've been running 30+ km/week for at least two years (with ups and downs, of course). Maybe you've run a marathon or an ultra, or perhaps you're a track-and-field athlete.
  • Your shoe size is between 41 and 43½ in men’s EU sizing.

Nice to have, NOT need to have:

  • Running shoe knowledge.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Social media management.
  • Science degree.
  • Professional photography experience.

Salary

€1,000 to €2,000 for most candidates.

For exceptional candidates, we can offer up to €4,000.

We offer a competitive salary based on your experience, skills and fit for the role.

This is a full-time job with standard Portuguese benefits (14 months’ salary, paid annual leave and public holidays, social security, etc.). But more importantly, you get all the shoes you want.
