Job Description

Accurate and timely payroll delivery – every time
Would you like to help ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery in an international company? As a Senior Payroll Specialist at NKT, you will play a key role in ensuring that our Danish employees receive the correct salary payment, every time. You will become part of a global HR team, collaborating with both local and international colleagues as well as external vendors.
Are you ready to take responsibility for one of the most business-critical functions within HR?

You will be responsible for payroll processes
We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist who is interested in working part time. Together with your colleague in Payroll you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our Danish employees. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues in People & Culture and Finance to maintain an efficient and error-free payroll process. You will manage complex payroll data, reconciliations, and accounting activities, while also having the opportunity to improve and develop our payroll systems and processes.

You will also:

  • Manage holiday pay, reimbursements, and e-Income reporting
  • Ensure compliance and data quality throughout payroll processes
  • Conduct shadow payments for our international employees
  • Report required audit data

You will report to Vibeke Slot Vahlkvist VP, People & Culture, and are expected to work from our headquarters at Amerika Plads in Copenhagen. Your payroll colleague is based in Asnæs where our production site is and you are also welcome to work from there.

Meticulous payroll professional with strong collaboration skills
We are looking for a colleague, who works in a structured and detail-oriented manner. You enjoy taking initiative and have a practical approach to complex challenges. You are results-driven and skilled at navigating a global organisation with multiple stakeholders, and you communicate clearly in both Danish and English.

You are also:

  • curious about AI and want to improve how to work
  • experienced in Microsoft Office
  • experienced with payroll processing and reconciliation in larger organisations, preferably using Lessor Løn and Lessor Workforce

Become part of a diverse and inclusive company
At NKT, we actively work to create an inclusive workplace where people from different backgrounds can thrive and be inspired to perform at their best. We are committed to promoting gender diversity and encourage all interested candidates to apply, even if you do not meet every requirement listed in the job description. We believe that diversity strengthens long-term performance and that an inclusive and welcoming culture creates a better working environment for everyone.

At NKT, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in an international environment where collaboration and professional excellence go hand in hand. You will become part of an engaged team where you can grow both professionally and personally.

“If Payroll does not work smoothly, we can forget everything else we want to achieve in People & Culture. So you will be an important asset to our team. We are working with important processes and while we do that we should also have fun, so I hope you want to contribute to this culture”, says Vibeke Slot Vahlkvist.
