On behalf of our client we are looking for a Corporate Legal Specialist to provide legal support to the group’s companies, with a primary focus on Cyprus. This is a fully remote, full-time role.

The role is about making sure the corporate structure, contractual relationships and business documentation of the group’s companies are legally sound and reflect how the business actually operates. The expected result is that every company is consistently ready for its annual audit.

What you’ll do:

  • provide comprehensive legal support to the group’s companies in Cyprus and other jurisdictions, covering corporate matters, contractual relationships and documentation of business transactions;
  • draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, amendments and other documents needed to properly document business activities;
  • analyze actual cooperation arrangements with counterparties, including the parties’ obligations and financial flows;
  • ensure consistency between contracts, invoices, service acceptance certificates, supporting documents and actual business transactions;
  • keep the companies’ legal and corporate documentation continuously ready for annual audits;
  • support corporate changes and liaise with external corporate service providers and consultants;
  • analyze existing corporate structures and contractual relationships between group companies and external counterparties, taking into account the actual business model, financial flows and Cyprus VAT requirements;
  • identify legal and documentary discrepancies, propose solutions and promptly inform the Head of Department.

What our client is looking for:

  • 3+ years of practical experience in corporate law or legal support for international businesses;
  • hands-on experience supporting Cyprus companies;
  • practical knowledge of Cyprus corporate law;
  • understanding of corporate structures, contractual obligations and the legal aspects of financial relationships between companies;
  • ability to understand the actual business model behind the documents, identify legal risks and propose well-reasoned solutions;
  • English at B2 level or above, including legal documents and business correspondence;
  • a systematic approach, independence within your area of responsibility and ownership of results.

Will be a plus:

  • experience working with international groups of companies;
  • experience in fintech or other regulated / financial services businesses;
  • experience working with banks, EMIs and PSPs.

What makes this role interesting:

  • fully remote, full-time work;
  • autonomy within your area of responsibility, without constant supervision;
  • hands-on work with established international corporate structures;
  • involvement in improving existing legal processes;
  • competitive remuneration, discussed individually.

If you are comfortable taking ownership of a corporate/legal function and turning complex business relationships into a clear, legally and documentarily consistent framework, we would be happy to hear from you.

Apply with your CV or send us a short summary of your relevant Cyprus corporate experience.
