The SME provides guidance of the program accreditation timeline and requirements, reviews the proposed program curriculum and maps it to ABAI standards, and supports program communication materials.

Compensation will be paid in full upon completion of contract deliverables. The hourly rate is $100 per hour. Time in role will not exceed 40 hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hold a doctoral degree in behavior analysis or applied behavior analysis.
  • Hold current BCBA certification with the BCBA-D designation, in good standing.
  • Experience teaching, designing, and launching an accredited online ABA program.
  • Experience with the ABAI accreditation process as a program director, faculty member, or reviewer.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in curriculum and course sequencing; assessment and accreditation; and certification and licensure alignment.
  • Experience designing or overseeing supervised fieldwork or practicum experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accreditation timeline. Propose an accreditation timeline with milestones, dependencies, and required hiring needs (including program director and faculty qualifications). The timeline addresses ABAI eligibility and application requirements.
  • Standards crosswalk. Review the proposed curriculum and map it to the current ABAI Accreditation Board standards. Deliver a crosswalk linking standards to courses and learning outcomes, with a written gap analysis and recommended revisions.
  • Certification and licensure alignment. Document how the curriculum, supervised fieldwork plan, and program outcomes align to Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) requirements and to licensure requirements in the applicable states.
  • Program communication. Draft internal program communication materials and provide subject matter review of external materials.
  • Meetings. Attend scheduled project meetings with the AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and the Department Chair-Behavioral Health.
  • Deliverables. Submit deliverables on the schedule set in the SME contract and in accordance with program structure requirements.
  • Confidentiality and AI use. Protect confidential University information. Use generative AI tools with University materials only as permitted by Herzing’s AI Governance Policy.
  • Contract. Adhere to the SME contract prepared by the AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and signed by the SME and Department Chair-Behavioral Health. Additional duties may be assigned per the SME contract.
