Cybersecurity Analyst

Role Description The Cybersecurity Analyst will work part-time in a remote capacity, supporting the protection of Law Zone’s digital assets and legal information systems. Daily responsibilities include monitoring network and application security, identifying vulnerabilities, and assisting in the implementation of security controls and best practices. The role involves conducting malware and threat analysis, investigating security incidents, and preparing clear documentation and reports for internal stakeholders. The Cybersecurity Analyst will collaborate with technical and legal teams to ensure compliance with relevant security standards, contribute to risk assessments, and recommend improvements to security policies and procedures. This position requires proactive engagement with emerging cybersecurity threats and tools to maintain a secure environment for Law Zone’s online platforms and services.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Cybersecurity, with practical experience in threat detection and incident response.
• Proficiency in Network Security, including monitoring, firewall configurations, and securing data in transit.
• Experience in Application Security, such as vulnerability assessment and secure coding principles.
• Skills in Malware Analysis and investigation of suspicious activities or compromised systems.
• Excellent Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data and communicate clear findings.
• Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Relevant degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
