Data Test Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in ETL and data testing within Azure-based data platforms.

• Work model: hybrid mode (max. 2 days/ week in the office)
• Budget: 115- 135 PLN net/ h - b2b
• Only candidates with citizenship in the European Union and residence in Poland

Project scope:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test solutions for ETL and data integration processes
• Validate data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes across multiple data sources
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for data platforms
• Create and execute test cases for Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory pipelines
• Write complex SQL queries to perform data analysis, validation, and defect investigation
• Use Python to automate data testing, validation, comparison, and reporting activities
• Perform source-to-target data validation and ensure data integrity across systems
• Support CI/CD and automation initiatives for data platform testing
• Conduct functional and non-functional testing of Azure-based data solutions
• Create and maintain clear, accurate, and comprehensive test documentation, test strategies, and execution reports

Competence demands:

• Proven experience as a Data Test Automation Engineer, Data QA Engineer, or similar role
• Strong hands-on experience in ETL testing and data validation
• Hands-on expertise of functional and non-functional testing in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and Python, with a focus on data validation, reconciliation, transformation testing, and automation
• Good understanding of version control (e.g. Git)
• Experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
• Experience supporting automated testing within CI/CD environments
• Ability to produce clear, accurate and comprehensive test documentation
• Experience with Xray test management, ideally in a parameterised, scalable way
• Knowledge of synthetic test data creation; data masking techniques
• Very good English skills

Nice to have:

• Experience in Power BI (PBI) Report Testing
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps
• Domain experience: corporate banking or investment banking (products, reference data, market data, etc.)
• PySpark
