What You’ll Do
- Monitor and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure performance, stability, and availability.
- Support development teams through SQL script reviews, database changes, and technical advice.
- Investigate and resolve database incidents, performance issues, and service requests.
- Manage database installations, upgrades, patching, backups, restoration, and migrations.
- Support the management of production and non-production database environments.
- Maintain database security, access controls, audit records, and technical documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an MSSQL Administrator role.
- Experience writing SQL scripts to manipulate database objects (such as tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, etc).
- Experience monitoring services, planning capacity, and fine-tuning database performance using tools such as Sentry One is a plus.
- Experience managing and deploying database versions through SCM and automation (such as Git, RedGate, Jenkins, PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Good English reading and writing skills.
- Ho Chi Minh City (Ree Tower, Xom Chieu Ward): Vietnam business hours (8 am – 5 pm) with a hybrid setup (3 days onsite, 2 days remote), following fully onsite during 2-month probation.
