Position Summary
The Development Associate will provide support for fundraising initiatives to include RENXT database management assistance, special events, and day-to-day operations for the Development Department, while reinforcing organizational culture. This includes serving as a primary front-line fundraiser to engage and introduce the organization to new individual donors, corporations and foundations to receive philanthropic support.
The Development Associate is responsible for supporting the development team in its efforts of cultivating and maintaining social investors to significantly impact the overall success of Pressley Ridge. This position requires the ability to assist and act in a confidential capacity, communicate well with tact, and project a professional image always with all levels of internal personnel, corporate Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities
- Nurture relationships with donors, identify and cultivate giving opportunity while interacting with donors to encourage and invite additional support.
- Analyze and provide data and reports to assist in fundraising strategies and team initiatives.
- Conducts research on prospects, including individuals, corporations and foundations identified by the development team as potential sources of private funds for specific projects.
- Documentation Input and update donor records into the database system.
- Assist in all parts of the donor cycle in order to build current and new relationships.
- Develops and maintains all research material needed and used by the Development Department.
Qualifications
Education/Credentials/Licensure: Requires bachelor’s degree.
Requires a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.
Experience:
Requires one (1) year experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in non-profit, development, fundraising or related environment.
Experience working within a development department is preferred.
Experience with Development database systems preferred.
Clearances Required by Applicable Regulations:
State Police
FBI
Child Abuse Clearances
Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training certificate and/or statement.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands: This position requires operating a keypad device 50% of the day and electronic/office equipment 30% of the day. Travel is required approximately 5 times per month and works in weather conditions about 20% of the day. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, upper back, legs and feet are all routinely used 25% of the day. Employees must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Walking is required 20% of the day. Standing occurs 30% of the day. Sitting happens 50% of the day. This function routinely lifts under 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Mental Demands: Occasionally handles distractions that interfere, makes quick decisions and handles diversity of problems.
