DevOps Engineer – Payments Platform

Role: DevOps Engineer – Payments Platform Location: Krakow, Poland Work Model: Hybrid – 6 days onsite per month required Duration: 6 months Contract Domain: Banking Role Overview We are looking for a strong DevOps/SRE engineer to design, build, and operate secure, resilient, and automated platform capabilities for a high-throughput payments environment. The role focuses on: CI/CD engineering Infrastructure automation Linux and cloud operations GCP platform engineering Jenkins pipeline development Oracle and distributed database support Observability and DevSecOps Key Responsibilities Platform & DevOps Engineering Engineer and operate DevOps tooling across IKP and GCP Build and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Automate provisioning, deployment, patching, and operational tasks Reliability & Performance Design HA/DR solutions aligned with payments environments Capacity planning and resilience testing Support production operations and incident management Cloud & Linux Operations Administer Linux production systems Troubleshoot networking, storage, memory, and performance issues Manage secure hybrid/cloud connectivity Database & Data Platform Support Support Oracle automation and monitoring Work with distributed database technologies Implement database CI/CD and migration strategies Observability & DevSecOps Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing Integrate security scanning into CI/CD pipelines Improve operational efficiency and MTTR Required Skills Strong DevOps/SRE experience in enterprise environments Hands-on expertise with Jenkins pipelines Good experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Strong Linux administration skills Experience with Oracle databases Knowledge of distributed databases Scripting experience (Bash/Python) IaC experience (Terraform/Ansible preferred) Understanding of SDLC and change management Nice to Have Kubernetes/container platform experience Secrets management/KMS exposure API gateway/service mesh experience ITIL or SRE practices knowledge
