Based in our Burnaby office and reporting to the Senior Vice President, Building Science & Resiliency, this is a senior leadership role for an accomplished consulting professional who can balance people leadership, client development, technical governance, and financial performance.
A key mandate will be to accelerate the growth of our Building Envelope and Structural Engineering practices across BC by strengthening market presence, building technical and leadership capacity, attracting and developing talent, expanding client relationships, and creating a sustainable project pipeline. You will set direction for the BC teams while supporting strong performance across our established practices and strengthening delivery capacity for continued growth.
As part of Pinchin’s national Building Science & Resiliency structure, you will work closely with national BSR leaders and technical specialists to align priorities, share expertise and resources, maintain consistent technical standards, and pursue opportunities across offices.
Your Impact as Director

- Technical governance and risk: Set and uphold standards for technical quality, peer review, documentation, and risk management. Support senior staff on complex or higher-risk projects and lead critical internal, contractor, and client discussions when required.
- Client relationships and market growth: Build trusted relationships with owners, asset managers, public-sector clients, property managers, contractors, and industry partners. Identify and convert opportunities for Building Envelope and Structural Engineering services, lead strategic pursuits, expand key accounts, and represent Pinchin at conferences, industry events, and client forums.
- Business planning and operations: Develop and execute a British Columbia business plan aligned with corporate strategy, including a practical expansion plan for Building Envelope and Structural Engineering. Translate priorities into clear market, hiring, delivery, and investment actions, and monitor progress with discipline.
- Financial stewardship: Oversee revenue, backlog, utilization, pricing, project performance, profitability, invoicing, and collections. Use financial and operational information to make timely decisions that support sustainable growth and client satisfaction.

Partner with the Senior Vice President, regional leaders, MEP leadership, and national technical leadership to align strategy, share expertise and resources, support consistent technical standards, coordinate multi-office delivery, and pursue cross-office opportunities.
