Director of Information Technology

Role Description The Director of Information Technology is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing PG Technology’s overall IT environment and digital infrastructure. This position manages IT operations, ensures system reliability, and supports the technology needs of robotics and automotive-focused projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining and implementing IT strategy, supervising network and system security, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and developing policies and standards for IT governance. The Director will monitor performance of IT systems, lead improvements to tools and processes, and ensure that information technology supports business objectives and future growth.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in IT Management and IT Operations to oversee systems, resources, and day-to-day technology functions.
• Candidates should possess solid expertise in Information Technology and IT Strategy to align technology initiatives with business goals and support long-term planning.
• Candidates should possess practical experience in Network Security to protect systems, data, and connectivity across remote and on-site environments.
• Experience leading IT in technology, robotics, manufacturing, or automotive settings is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in infrastructure planning, cloud services, and cybersecurity best practices is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced certifications or equivalent experience are an advantage.
