Dispatcher – International Road Transport

We are looking for a Dispatcher to join our Transport team in Thessaloniki. In this role, you will coordinate international road freight shipments, work closely with drivers, carriers, warehouses, and international partners, and ensure that daily transport operations are carried out efficiently, on time, and in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate freight rates with carriers and transport partners and calculate shipment costs.
• Arrange vehicle allocation and dispatch, coordinating collection and delivery schedules directly with drivers and transport partners.
• Create, process, and monitor transport and loading orders in the company’s Transport Management System (TMS).
• Liaise with international agents, partner depots, and warehouses to coordinate loading, linehaul, and unloading operations.
• Plan and monitor loading activities, ensuring compliance with cut-off times, transit schedules, and operational requirements.
• Track shipments throughout the transport cycle and proactively manage delays, route changes, capacity constraints, and other operational issues.
• Cooperate closely with the Sales, Customer Service and Warehouse teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of shipments.

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for the logistics industry, a strong team spirit, and the motivation to build a long-term career within the company.
• At least 3 years of experience in international road transport, freight forwarding, or dispatching.
• Good knowledge of import and export operations and international road freight procedures.
• Experience in freight rate negotiation and shipment costing.
• Familiarity with Transport Management Systems.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and changing priorities effectively.
• A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field would be an advantage.
