Job Description This is a remote position. One of our clients in the Telecom sector is looking for an experienced Senior DOCSIS Engineer to join its Network Engineering team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, support, and evolution of its cable broadband network infrastructure. Key Deliverables Design, implement, and support DOCSIS broadband network infrastructure and services. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco CBR8 CMTS platforms and CommScope (Arris/Motorola) cable modems. Monitor network performance, capacity, QoS, and bandwidth utilization to ensure optimal service delivery. Design, maintain, and upgrade ISP access, core, distribution, and transit network infrastructure. Support enterprise network solutions for corporate customers. Lead customer migrations to new CMTS nodes, including planning, execution, validation, and issue resolution. Support the migration from legacy Cisco platforms to Harmonic CableOS architecture. Implement, support, and optimize VoIP services across the cable broadband network. Provide advanced technical support and guidance to Network Field Teams during deployments and troubleshooting activities. Investigate and resolve complex network, service, and migration-related issues. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of network upgrades and projects. Track migration and project progress to ensure timely completion of operational objectives. Requirements Ideal Profile Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer within a telecommunications, ISP, or cable broadband environment. Strong expertise in: DOCSIS technologies and architectures TCP/IP networking Routing and switching Bandwidth management Quality of Service (QoS) Network monitoring and management systems Broadband service delivery Proven experience implementing and supporting large-scale DOCSIS deployments. Hands-on experience with: Cisco CBR8 CMTS CommScope / Arris / Motorola cable modem platforms HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) networks Experience supporting migration projects involving CMTS platforms and broadband infrastructure upgrades. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex service provider environments. Experience implementing and supporting VoIP services over cable broadband networks. Familiarity with ISP access, core, distribution, and transit network infrastructure.
