Electrical Design & Estimation Engineer (WFH)

Job Description This is a remote position. Job Title: Electrical Design & Estimation Engineer (WFH) Location: Permanent WFH Company Overview: We are assisting a progressive construction and engineering firm in recruiting a highly skilled Electrical Engineer – Electrician for their team. Our client specializes in delivering high-quality electrical solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed electrical designs, plans, and cost estimates for projects including electrical systems, data, communications, CCTV, AV, and lighting. Perform quantity take-offs, Bill of Materials, and project specifications using tools such as AutoCAD, Groundplan, and Bluebeam Revu. Conduct site inspections and provide technical assessments for tendering and project implementation. Develop and submit proposals in response to RFQs, RFTs, and other client requirements. Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and verify pricing, specifications, and compliance with technical standards. Oversee installation, supervise subcontractors, and ensure projects adhere to Australian Standards (AS3000, AS1158) and local regulations. Utilize project management software such as Ascora, Odoo, and Microsoft Office suite for reporting, documentation, and communication. Requirements Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred or in progress) Registered Electrical Engineer and Registered Master Electrician Proven experience in electrical system design, estimation, and project management (preferably with international projects) Proficiency in: Simpro, Groundplan, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, AGi32, PowerPac 7 Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Project management software: Ascora, Odoo Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and documentation skills Preferred Experience: Electrical design for data, communications, EACS, CCTV, AV systems, and public/private street lighting Tender preparation and bid proposal development Site supervision and hands-on electrical installation experience Value engineering and cost optimization​ Benefits Work Schedule Aligned with Australian time zone Monday to Friday – weekends off Permanent WFH – enjoy the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere​ Salary Package • AUD 2,800 per month, dependent on qualifications
