Team / division overview

We are seeking a motivated ETF professional to join the Swiss Xtrackers team. The successful candidate will combine strong ETF expertise with a genuine interest in broader investment solutions, including active strategies and alternatives.

The role is suited to an individual who enjoys technical investment discussions with sophisticated investors and is keen to develop business in a client-facing commercial role.

Working alongside the Swiss Private Wealth Sales team, the candidate will be responsible for client engagement, investment discussions and business development across private banks, wealth managers, family offices, and independent asset managers.

Your responsibilities:

As our Vice President, ETF & Investment Solutions Specialist, you will:

ETF & Investment Expertise:

• Act as an ETF specialist across equities, fixed income, commodities, and thematic strategies.

Provide expertise in:

• ETFs and ETPs
• Index investing and methodologies
• Portfolio construction and asset allocation
• Capital markets, trading, liquidity, and execution
• UCITS structures and regulations
• Support client discussions on portfolio implementation and investment solutions.
• Contribute to conversations spanning passive, active, and alternative investments.
• Monitor market developments and identify relevant investment opportunities.

Client & Commercial Development:

• Engage with prospects and clients, including cold calling
• Organise client meetings in cooperation with the rest of the private wealth team
• Deliver investment presentations and educational workshops.
• Contribute to strategic account planning and business development initiatives.
• Build relationships with investment professionals across Switzerland.

Internal Collaboration:

• Work closely with Private Wealth Sales colleagues, Product, Capital Markets, CIO Office, and Marketing teams.
• Support product launches and strategic initiatives.
• Translate technical investment concepts into practical client solutions.

We are looking for:

Experience:

• 4-7 years of experience in ETFs, asset management, investment consulting, portfolio advisory, capital markets, or investment specialist roles.
• Experience working with professional investors preferred.
• Strong ETF knowledge required, although candidates do not need to come exclusively from an ETF background.

Strong understanding of:

• ETFs and index investing
• Asset allocation and portfolio construction
• Financial markets and investment products
• Capital markets and trading concepts

Demonstrated interest in:

• Active asset management
• Alternatives and private markets
• Client relationship management
• Business development

Languages:

• Fluent English
• German required
• French is a strong advantage
