About the Role & Team
The Event Specialist | Attendee Acquisition will lead strategic attendee acquisition, manage data integrity, and drive new contact generation through innovative outreach and engagement programs. The role will also own the recruitment and coordination of advisory council members and end-user speakers, expanding IDC's event influence and market reach across META. This position is critical to ensuring high-quality event audiences, increased engagement, and improved conversion from invitation to attendance.
What You’ll Do
- Secure event registrations through proactive telemarketing outreach and follow-up calls, keeping all lists and records up to date.
- Provide insightful reports on registrant demographics, industries, and other key metrics using Microsoft Office tools; track and analyze attendance and call-conversion trends to optimize outreach strategies, following IDC's guidelines.
- Make outbound follow-up and reminder calls, answer inquiries, and provide event information professionally and engagingly, building lasting relationships that foster loyalty and repeat engagement.
- Apply a telemarketing-driven approach, with clear call targets and conversion goals, to expand audience reach.
- Develop and maintain a well-organized, detailed contact database for IDC's events using Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
- Analyze feedback to identify opportunities for improving content, services, and satisfaction in future events.
- Partner closely with the marketing and events team, sharing call insights and feedback to elevate IDC's event goals.
- Bring a people-first approach, contributing to a collaborative, motivated team culture.
What You Bring
- Professional verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Strong telemarketing skills, including cold and warm calling, objection handling, lead qualification, and call-based conversion of prospects.
- Previous corporate experience is required, ideally in a similar role (telemarketing, sales tele-calling, events support, or customer service) with a strong focus on relationship-building and lead generation.
- Good working experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) for data entry, reporting, and analysis, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team, with flexibility to occasionally attend events outside standard working hoursTravel: Up to 10% for event support and onsite execution
