Experienced Systems Engineer
Want to put your engineering experience to work on Power-to-X and large-scale infrastructure projects? Join Systems Engineering A/S and help engineering teams connect systems, solve interface challenges, and turn complex projects into something they can navigate with confidence.
About Us
At Systems Engineering A/S, we help engineering teams make sense of complex projects: how systems fit together, where disciplines meet, and how information stays connected. Our work covers three areas:
1. Systems Engineering Concept (SEC) – Our project management method for structuring and managing large, complex engineering projects.
2. ISO/IEC 81346 Standard Consultancy Services – We help organizations manage complexity by applying ISO/IEC 81346 to establish a common language across engineering disciplines.
3. SEC-Hub Software – Our software supports the use of SEC and ISO/IEC 81346 in clients’ information workflows, helping them establish a common engineering language.
You’ll have opportunities to work on Power-to-X and large-scale infrastructure projects, alongside assignments in medical devices, green energy, automation, and other industries. Across these fields, you’ll help teams tackle a shared challenge: keeping systems, disciplines, and engineering information connected as projects grow.
Your Role
You’ll work directly with clients, getting close to their engineering challenges and helping turn technical complexity into clear structures and practical ways of working. Your responsibilities will include:
· Helping clients structure systems, clarify interfaces, and coordinate engineering disciplines through practical implementation of the Systems Engineering Concept (SEC) and ISO/IEC 81346.
· Helping clients implement SEC-Hub and apply SEC in their engineering workflows.
· Understanding clients’ engineering challenges, building trust through your work, and identifying where they need further technical support.
Why Join Us?
Join a smaller team where your technical judgment matters and you can help shape how we work. You’ll combine hands-on client assignments with the chance to develop your expertise and take on more responsibility as the company grows. We offer:
· Room to grow: Help shape the company’s development and take on more responsibility as we expand.
· Varied engineering challenges: Work with our own developed software tool and clients across a varied and growing market, with opportunities in Power-to-X and large-scale infrastructure.
· See your work put into practice: Help clients apply our methods and software in real projects, giving their teams clearer system structures, interfaces, and engineering workflows.
· Travel: Opportunities to visit clients across Scandinavia and Europe. We value meeting clients in person. Expected travel: 5-25 days/year.
What We’re Looking For
· 3+ years of relevant engineering or consultancy experience, including practical application of systems engineering methods in complex projects.
· Experience structuring systems, managing interfaces, and coordinating across engineering disciplines, with a technical background in areas such as electrical, mechanical, or process engineering.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical solutions clearly and build a shared understanding with clients and engineering teams.
· A proactive, systematic approach and confidence in guiding technical discussions with clients.
· An interest in learning, contributing to the business, and adapting as it develops.
· A bachelor’s degree in engineering.
· Significant communication skills in English, both oral and written.
We’ll provide the tools and training you need to work with our methods and software.
Supporting qualities
· Significant communication skills in Danish in both oral and written.
· Experience with Tagging of equipment.
Location and Flexibility
Based in Østerbrogade 48, 2100 Copenhagen, this role offers opportunities for travel and hybrid work flexibility.
