Show job description

Company Description Drugstore.ng is building the infrastructure that gets medicines reliably to people across Africa by connecting a wide network of pharmacies.

The company aggregates over 900 pharmacies into a single fulfilment network, helping HMOs, clinics, telemedicine platforms, and employers ensure timely access to medication for their patients and enrollees. Through solutions like Drugstore.ng (the fulfilment layer), Virtualrx (an offline-first POS and inventory system), and Pharmasee (anonymized market data), the organization improves visibility and efficiency across the retail medicine supply chain. Operating since 2019, Drugstore.ng has served more than 80,000 people and facilitated deliveries and pickups across over 30 states.

Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Field Sales Representative. The Field Sales Representative will identify and onboard new pharmacy partners, clinics, and healthcare organizations into Drugstore.ng’s network, focusing on growth across assigned territories. Responsibilities include prospecting and scheduling meetings, delivering product presentations and demos, negotiating terms within set guidelines, and closing partnership agreements. The role involves regular follow-up with partners to ensure satisfaction, gather feedback on products such as Virtualrx and Pharmasee, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational issues. The Field Sales Representative will track sales activities and performance metrics, prepare periodic reports on territory progress, and represent Drugstore.ng at industry events or community engagements as needed.

Qualifications

  • Sales and business development skills, including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and deal closing.
  • Relationship management and customer service skills to build trust with pharmacies, HMOs, clinics, and other healthcare partners.
  • Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical products and value propositions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Basic technology proficiency, including comfort with CRM tools, online communication platforms, and mobile or web-based sales applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities across territories.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related sectors is an advantage, especially in field sales or account management roles.
  • Ability to travel within assigned regions when required, and to adapt to remote collaboration with distributed teams.
