The position requires hands-on management, strong problem-solving skills, general ledger knowledge, and excellent communication. The Manager is accountable for accurate and timely execution of assigned processes, independently resolving issues, and working closely with Operations and Agency Principals to integrate and streamline newly acquired agencies while maintaining financial integrity.

o Take ownership of complex operational issues within assigned areas, drive investigations through resolution, and escalate significant risks or decisions as appropriate
o Foster a collaborative environment with clear accountability and follow-through, balancing consistent procedures with the evolving needs of the business.
· Operations, Process & Systems
o Oversee and improve operational workflows, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit compliance while adapting to shifting priorities and building scalable processes as the organization grows.
o Coordinate directly with Accounting, IT, Operations, and Finance leadership to execute system and process changes impacting assigned Finance Operations activities
o Maintain clear, current process documentation for assigned Finance Operations functions and ensure procedures are followed as processes evolve
o Drive standardization and efficiency across acquired agencies and operational teams, identifying gaps and implementing practical solutions
o Serve as the primary Finance Operations liaison to Operations for assigned M&A integrations; own the transition of newly acquired agencies into standardized workflows, resolve integration issues, and coordinate with Accounting and agency teams through implementation
o Own year-end procedures and audit deliverables for Finance Operations, ensuring timely completion and resolution of outstanding issues.
· General Ledger & Cash Management
o Apply strong general ledger knowledge to ensure assigned Finance Operations activity is accurately reflected in financial reporting
o Own the investigation and resolution of discrepancies between operational subledgers and the general ledger, coordinating with Accounting counterparts as needed
o Resolve accounting and reconciliation issues arising from operational transactions and guide team members on their financial impact
o Monitor daily cash positions across HNIB and its subsidiaries, identify funding or liquidity needs, and promptly communicate and act on exceptions.
o Coordinate approved movement and sweeping of excess subsidiary cash, ensuring transactions are accurate, timely, and properly recorded
o Proactively identify, investigate, and communicate operational issues affecting cash timing, reconciliations, or financial reporting; drive corrective action
· Team Player and Role Model:
o Be a role model for the finance team, embodying the organization's values and promoting a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability.
o Communicate clearly, directly, and proactively with agency leaders, Operations, Accounting, and other cross-functional teams; own follow-through on issues and commitments.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
Experience
5–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations, including 1–3 years of supervisory or management experience.
