The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong Financial Accountant to join a growing and evolving financial services organisation. Working within a high-performing finance team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining a robust control environment and supporting ongoing business growth initiatives.
This position offers broad exposure across financial accounting, reporting and process improvement activities, making it an excellent opportunity for a first mover from audit or an existing Financial Accountant looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and commercially focused environment.

- Prepare monthly financial reports and management reporting packs.
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Account for operating expenses and support budgeting processes.
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers.
- Support statutory reporting and external audit requirements.
- Assist with the implementation and enhancement of financial controls and processes.
- Partner with stakeholders across finance and the broader business to provide financial insights and support.
- Contribute to system improvements, automation initiatives and reporting enhancements.
- Support ad hoc projects driven by business growth and transformation activities.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Background in external audit, assurance or financial accounting.
- Experience within financial services, banking, lending, fintech or another regulated industry is a must
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
- Proven experience managing month-end reporting and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with financial systems.
- Exposure to ERP systems and reporting tools will be advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive, inquisitive and solutions-focused approach.
