We’re Hiring: Senior Network & Security Operations Engineer – Fortinet

Experience: 7–10 Years

Work Arrangement: 100% Remote

Contract Type: Independent Contractor / Freelance

Duration: 2–4 Weeks

Coverage: Brazil (AMR), Kuala Lumpur and EMEA time zones.

Working Hours: 8 Hours per Day

Availability: Immediate Joiner Only

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network & Security Operations Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Fortinet technologies to support network and security operations.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls.

Work with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiOS, and FortiClient/EMS.

Manage firewall policies, NAT, VPNs (IPsec/SSL), and security configurations.

Handle routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.

Manage LAN/WAN, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.

Monitor security events, analyze logs, and support incident response.

Perform firewall upgrades, troubleshooting, and security assessments.

Support Fortinet SD-WAN and High Availability (HA) environments.

Required Qualifications

7–10 years of experience in network and security operations.

Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet products and technologies.

Relevant Fortinet certification is mandatory: FCP – Secure Networking.

FCSS – Secure Networking certification is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of networking, firewall administration, and security operations.

Must have Fortinet Certification.

Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

Must be available to work 8 hours daily for the full 2–4 week engagement.
