KO

Founding Research & Content Contributor — Event Industry Reputation

Koordi

Is this job info correct?
About Koordi

Koordi is exploring how event professionals can build reputations that speak clearly for them—not just display their work.

Event professionals can be visible online through Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, websites, portfolios, and other platforms. However, visibility does not always communicate the full meaning of their professional reputation.

A portfolio may show what someone has produced. It may not fully explain how they work, how reliable they are, what previous clients or collaborators experienced, or what kind of professional they are beyond the work they display.

Much of that understanding still depends on private conversations, personal recommendations, testimonials, and word of mouth.

Koordi is researching whether there is a more structured and credible way to explore this problem.

About the opportunity

We are looking for thoughtful people to join an early research and content group around this problem.

You do not need to be a senior event professional. You may already work in the event industry, have some experience working with event professionals, support the industry in another way, be interested in research or product development, or simply have a useful perspective on trust, reputation, and professional credibility.

This is an early-stage, unpaid, volunteer opportunity. It is not a finished product launch, employment offer, or guarantee of future paid work.

What you may contribute

• Share your experience or perspective on how event professionals build and communicate reputation.
• Take part in structured discussions about the problem.
• Challenge assumptions and identify gaps in the proposed idea.
• Help explore what a credible review or reputation solution should and should not claim.
• Contribute ideas for educational and discussion-based content.
• Help develop content that explains the problem from different perspectives.
• Review draft posts and suggest improvements.
• Identify questions, concerns, and objections that people in the industry may have.
• Help us understand whether this is a problem worth solving and whether people would genuinely want a solution.

Who this may suit

This opportunity may suit you if you:

• Have direct or indirect experience in the event industry.
• Work as an event planner, photographer, decorator, caterer, venue operator, stylist, entertainment professional, event assistant, producer, or related professional.
• Have worked with event professionals as a client, collaborator, agency, venue, supplier, or business partner.
• Are interested in research, content, community building, product development, or early-stage ideas.
• Can think critically and offer honest feedback.
• Are willing to participate in conversations rather than simply promote an idea.
• Can communicate clearly and contribute consistently.

What we are looking for

You do not need extensive experience or a formal qualification.

We are more interested in your perspective, curiosity, honesty, and willingness to think through the problem. We want people who can help us understand what professional reputation means in practice and what would make any future solution credible.

Time commitment

This is a flexible, remote opportunity. Initially, we expect contributors to participate in discussions, review or create occasional content, and share feedback over an initial [four-week] exploration period.

The exact activities will be agreed with the selected contributors based on their interests and availability.

What you will gain

• Experience contributing to an early-stage research and product exploration process.
• The opportunity to influence how a potential industry solution is shaped.
• Experience in research, strategic thinking, content development, and community collaboration.
• The opportunity to connect with other people interested in the future of the event industry.
• Recognition as an early contributor, where appropriate and agreed.

Important information

This is currently an unpaid volunteer opportunity. There is no guarantee of employment, payment, equity, funding, or future work.

Participation does not guarantee selection for any future Koordi review process, product, community, or paid role.

We are still investigating the problem and testing whether there is genuine demand for a solution. The purpose of this group is to help us think carefully before deciding what should be built next.

How to express your interest

Please apply with a short response explaining:

1. What connects you to the event industry or this problem?
2. What perspective or experience could you contribute?
3. Which area interests you most: research, discussion, content, community, or exploring the solution?
4. What would make a professional reputation solution credible to you?
