Front-End Web Engineer
About Us
iMove is a fast-growing taxi and mobility platform operating across the Mediterranean. As a dynamic and
entrepreneurial company, we value innovation, collaboration, and initiative. Every member of our team
plays an important role in developing and improving our products and services.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Front-End Web Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern,
responsive, and user-friendly web applications. You will work closely with our development team to
deliver high-quality user experiences, implement new features, and continuously improve the usability,
performance, and reliability of our web platforms.
In this role you will own the quality of our user-facing web experience, including its usability,
accessibility, and performance. You will work alongside our full stack and backend developers, who focus
primarily on services, data, and system architecture.
Our web applications are built with Blazor and the .NET ecosystem. Blazor experience is a strong
advantage, but we also welcome experienced front-end engineers from React, Angular, or Vue
backgrounds who are keen to learn it. We are looking for someone adaptable, proactive, and willing to
learn new technologies and tools as our products evolve.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position, combining remote work with regular in-office days at our Athens office.
Job Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3,
JavaScript/TypeScript, Blazor, and Razor Components.
• Translate UI/UX designs and technical requirements into reusable, accessible, and maintainable
components.
• Ensure web interfaces meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and perform well across browsers
and devices.
• Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and existing backend services.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, QA, and other team members to deliver
new features and resolve defects.
• Develop proof-of-concept solutions to evaluate new technologies and address technical
challenges.
• Apply secure coding practices and help identify and fix vulnerabilities found through code
analysis and testing.
• Participate in code reviews and help establish and maintain coding, testing, and design standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting functionality, usability, performance, and compatibility.
• Contribute to automated testing, technical documentation, and continuous improvement of the
development process.
• Support the deployment and maintenance of web applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Keep up to date with modern web development technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a
closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in front-end web development.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Professional experience with Blazor and Razor Components, or strong experience with a modern
component-based framework (such as React, Angular, or Vue) and a willingness to learn Blazor.
• Good understanding of responsive web design, component-based architecture, and modern UI
development principles.
• Experience integrating web applications with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles and the ability to translate design specifications into functional
interfaces.
• Working knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to build accessible
interfaces.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, debugging, and software testing.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and the .NET ecosystem.
• Experience deploying or maintaining web applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with web performance optimization.
• Experience working with Scrum or other Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in the transportation, mobility, or travel industry.
