Remote QLD: Cairns or Townsville | Permanent Full-Time
Are you a confident relationship builder who enjoys getting out into the community, creating opportunities and turning conversations into meaningful outcomes?
Torrens University Australia is looking for a motivated and results-driven Future Student Advisor – Schools to join our Student Recruitment team in North Queensland.
This is a remote-based, field-focused sales role where you'll build strong relationships with schools, connect with future students and help them discover education pathways that align with their aspirations.
You'll engage with career advisers, teachers, school leaders, students and families, generating quality leads and supporting prospective students through their journey from initial interest to enrolment.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-led sales, school visits, presentations, events and making a genuine difference in students' lives.
What's the role?
As a Future Student Advisor – Schools, you'll represent Torrens University Australia across schools, career expos, information sessions and student engagement activities throughout your assigned North Queensland territory.
You'll focus on developing and strengthening school relationships, identifying recruitment opportunities, generating prospective student leads and contributing to enrolment outcomes across our course offerings.
While based remotely in Cairns or Townsville, this is an active, outward-facing role that combines school engagement, relationship management, sales and student recruitment.
You'll have the autonomy to manage your territory, build your pipeline and create meaningful connections that help students take their next step towards higher education.
Key Points About This Role
- Build School Relationships: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with career advisers, teachers, school leaders and key contacts across your assigned territory.
- Drive Student Engagement: Represent Torrens University at school visits, career expos, information sessions and events, delivering engaging presentations about study pathways.
- Generate Leads & Enrolments: Identify opportunities, nurture prospective students and convert enquiries into applications and enrolments while working towards recruitment targets.
- Manage Your Sales Pipeline: Maintain accurate school, lead and student records in Salesforce, prioritise follow-ups and monitor recruitment activity to drive performance.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with admissions, enrolments, marketing and student recruitment teams to create a seamless student experience and support recruitment activities.

You’ll bring:
- Experience in sales, business development, student recruitment, account management or another target-driven role.
- Confidence building relationships with schools, stakeholders, students and families.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
- A proactive approach to generating leads, following up opportunities and achieving conversion targets.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, alongside intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail when maintaining student records, managing applications and supporting admissions processes.
- Resilience, initiative and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their education goals.
