Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a German Tutor based in Surulere, Lagos. The German Tutor will plan and deliver engaging German language lessons, including grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities. Responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching methods to different proficiency levels. The tutor will conduct online classes, maintain accurate records of attendance and performance, and collaborate with the school to align teaching with curriculum standards. The role also involves supporting learners’ cultural understanding of German-speaking countries and maintaining a professional, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in German (minimum B1 or B2 level; or native-level fluency preferred) and good command of English.
• Proven teaching or tutoring experience in German as a foreign language, preferably in an online or blended-learning environment.
• Ability to design structured lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments tailored to varied learner levels.
• Comfort with online teaching tools, virtual classrooms, and digital learning resources.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Patience, cultural sensitivity, and a learner-focused approach that supports people from diverse backgrounds.
• Relevant academic background in Languages, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; teaching certification is an advantage.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work onsite in Surulere, Lagos for school-related coordination when required.
