LSF is seeking a talented Grant Performance & Compliance Analyst who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.

Purpose and Impact:

This position provides expertise in grant compliance, performance monitoring, data management, reporting, and post-award administration for federal, state, local, and private grant-funded programs. This individual will oversee and work with departments to manage and collect data for grant monitoring systems, supporting continuous quality improvement for the timely submission of programmatic reports. The position will also assist with pre-award planning by reviewing funding requirements, developing compliance metrics, identifying reporting obligations, and supporting proposal development. The individual will work closely with the Director and other key staff cross-functionally, to ensure compliance with funding requirements, strengthen organizational accountability, support data-driven decision-making, and maximize successful grant implementation.

This position is eligible for remote or hybrid work; however, candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace. The company reserves the right to modify the work arrangement at any time based on business needs. Employees may be required to attend occasional in-person meetings or events and must reside in a location where the company is legally authorized to operate and conduct business. Time zone alignment and work hour expectations may apply depending on the team's location.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the organization’s primary resource for grant compliance, post-award administration, and performance monitoring across federal, state, local, and private funding sources.
  • Develops and maintains grant compliance tracking systems, implementation timelines, reporting calendars, and monitoring tools to ensure adherence to all grant requirements.
  • Monitors grant performance against approved work plans, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and performance measures, identifying risks and with Director and grants/program team, recommending corrective action, when necessary.
  • Collects, validates, analyzes, and reports programmatic and performance data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with funder reporting requirements.
  • Maintains grant management databases, dashboards, and reporting systems to support organizational decision-making, performance monitoring, and executive reporting.
  • Collaborates with grants team and program leadership to establish data collection protocols, performance indicators, and quality assurance processes that support evidence-based program implementation.
  • Coordinates preparation and submission of required programmatic reports, performance reports, data submissions, and supporting documentation for grantors.
  • With Director, reviews grant agreements, notices of award, and funding requirements to develop compliance checklists and communicate reporting expectations to internal stakeholders.
  • As appropriate, partners with Director and Finance teams to reconcile expenditures, monitor budget performance, review reimbursement requests, and support financial compliance with grant requirements.
  • With Director, conducts internal compliance monitoring, file reviews, and documentation audits to ensure adherence to organizational policies and federal, state, and funder regulations.
  • With grants team, supports CQI activities by analyzing program outcomes, identifying trends, monitoring KPIs, and recommending operational improvements.
  • Assists program managers with implementation challenges by providing technical assistance related to compliance, reporting requirements, performance metrics, and documentation standards.
  • Supports pre-award activities by reviewing Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFO) requirements, developing compliance metrics, identifying reporting obligations, and assisting with proposal development as requested.
  • Tracks grant milestones, deliverables, reporting deadlines, and closeout activities to ensure timely completion of all award requirements.
  • Aids in the development of grant related executive dashboards, performance summaries, and compliance reports for senior leadership, funders, and governing boards, as appropriate.
  • Participates in grant monitoring visits, external audits, site reviews, and funder communications, preparing supporting documentation and coordinating responses to findings.
  • Attends grant-related trainings, conferences, webinars, and professional development opportunities to remain current on federal regulations, performance measurement requirements, and best practices in grants management.
  • Participates in leadership meetings, as needed, providing updates on grant compliance status, organizational performance, reporting requirements, and emerging risks.
  • Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in communications, compliance, law, public administration, finance, or a related field.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing, preferably with some knowledge of working with vulnerable populations. Prior experience in grant compliance, contract administration, or regulatory affairs is preferred.

Technical skills: Proficiency with grant management systems (e.g., SAM, Grants.gov, era Commons, SAMHSA, HMIS, and ability to learn other grant related systems), Microsoft Office, and possibly specialized compliance software.

Analytical and attention to detail: Ability to review complex documents and identify compliance risks.

Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for reporting, training, and stakeholder coordination.

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for typing and handling documents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and analyze detailed reports and electronic data.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for detailed work and virtual meetings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment with reliable internet.
  • Occasional local travel for meetings, site visits, or organizational events.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge of proposal submission and pre/post grant process.
  • Ability to study and understand programs and funding requirements of the agency.
  • Strong research and writing skills and knowledge of or willingness to learn of information sources.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency in MS Office and grant databases required.
  • Must maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing; good presentation skills.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours and weekends if necessary.
  • Must have the ability to exercise common sense and good judgement.
  • Ability to complete any professional development or additional training as directed.
  • Ability to work remotely and also travel to programs, bidder’s conferences, webinars, or other information sessions related to grant support, when necessary.
  • Ability to take independent action, when appropriate; exercise discretion and take initiative.
  • Ability to be flexible during grant deadline submissions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Other:

  • Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid Florida driver’s license, and ability to travel to occasional in-person meetings, site visits, funder engagements, or organizational events.
