Born in Brooklyn, New York, 14 years ago, we've been making award-winning work ever since. And here in Australia, we're just getting started.

Globally, we're a team of 175+ creatives, creators, storytellers and strategists working across the U.S., U.K., Australia and Asia.

The Opportunity

As Group Account Director, you will:

  • Oversee and mentor a team of PR and communications professionals, fostering a high-performance culture while ensuring seamless project delivery
  • Act as the senior client partner, providing strategic counsel, navigating challenges, and proactively identifying opportunities to elevate client success
  • Drive business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities within existing accounts and developing new client relationships
  • Champion innovative, earned-first creative thinking, pushing boundaries to deliver best-in-class integrated communications campaigns
  • Oversee account profitability, budget management, and resource allocation to ensure financial and operational efficiency
  • Represent Praytell within the Australian market, engaging with media, industry stakeholders, and potential talent to enhance our agency profile
  • Contribute to shaping the agency’s culture, driving collaboration, and embedding best practices in leadership, mentorship, and professional development

You Are:

Who We Are

Praytell is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where all individuals are valued and given equal opportunities for employment, career growth, and professional development. We do not discriminate based on race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or any other protected attribute. Our hiring decisions are based on skills, experience, and potential, and we actively champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within our workforce. We are dedicated to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and harassment, ensuring a supportive and fair environment for all.

Benefits & Workplace Culture:

We're a global agency with strong local roots, giving you the best of both worlds: access to global talent, insights, technology and opportunities, with the freedom to help build something uniquely Australian (and pretty awesome) alongside our growing local team.

At Praytell, creativity isn't just a department. It's how we think, collaborate and approach everything we do. We're always challenging the status quo, finding better ways of working and pushing to leave our industry better than we found it. That commitment extends to how we build our teams and create opportunities, including through our global DEI initiatives and the launch of our inaugural Praytell Intownships program in Australia.

Most importantly, we believe great work starts with people who feel supported, inspired and empowered to do their best. Work should fit into life, not the other way around. That's why we offer:

  • Flexible working arrangements
  • A hybrid work model, balancing time between our Cremorne, Melbourne, office and wherever you work best.
  • Global exposure and collaboration opportunities with teams across the U.S., U.K., and Asia, as well as our Project Worldwide network—including our favorite offsite, Camp Praytell (this year’s edition took us to Austin, Texas!)
  • More time for R&R, providing 20 days of annual leave plus gifted holidays from Christmas to New Year’s Day.
  • Parental leave benefits with flexible return-to-work options.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) access for you and your family, including mental health support and counseling.
