Group Accountant

Group Accountant | West Yorkshire | £70,000 to £75,000 | 12 month fixed term contract

Working pattern: hybrid, West Yorkshire office.

I'm working on a 12 month Group Accountant contract. It would suit someone ACA or ACCA qualified with strong group consolidation experience who can start immediately.

The business is an international group with a central finance team in West Yorkshire. The work is pulling together the numbers from group subsidiaries: multi-entity, multi-currency reporting with fixed deadlines.

The role

• Run parts of the group consolidation at month end and quarter end, including intercompany matching and eliminations
• Translate the group subsidiaries' results into the group numbers
• Keep the balance sheet reconciled, with the schedules behind the year end numbers
• Explain what's moved each month and why, and pull together reporting for the senior team
• Prepare the group audit schedules and handle the auditors' questions
• Make sure the controls around group reporting are working
• Streamline and make the month end process more efficient

The person

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Hands-on group consolidation experience
• Strong on IFRS
• Comfortable with a lot of entities, tight deadlines and detail
• Available to start immediately

• £70,000 to £75,000
