Growth & Brand Lead

Content, Organic Growth & Go-to-Market

Employment: Full-time
Location: Remote, United States
Reports to: Founder & CEO
Compensation: $160,000–$220,000

About the Company

Bedrock Talent is partnering with a growing career technology company that is helping people navigate their careers with greater clarity, confidence, and agency.

As AI rapidly changes how people work, this company believes the most important story is not simply what technology can replace—it is what ambitious people can accomplish when equipped with better tools, information, and leverage.

The company has built a trusted product used by a large community of professionals and is now expanding its platform for the next era of work. Its team operates with the same AI-native principles it brings to its customers, using agents, automation, and intelligent systems to spend less time moving information around and more time applying creativity, judgment, and strategic thinking.

The company is looking for someone who can turn that vision into a brand and body of work that people recognize, trust, and want to share.

The Role

This is not a traditional growth-marketing or content-calendar position. It is also not a role focused solely on managing agencies, presenting strategy, or delegating execution.

The Growth & Brand Lead will own the intersection of:

  • Brand and editorial strategy

  • Content and storytelling

  • Audience development

  • Organic growth and distribution

  • Product marketing

  • Go-to-market strategy

  • Founder-led communications

Your job will be to grow awareness by transforming the company’s products, customer insights, data, and beliefs about careers, ambition, work, and AI into ideas people want to read, watch, share, discuss, and act on.

You will work directly with the founder and a small, fast-moving team. You will not inherit a massive budget, a completed playbook, or a large department waiting for direction. You will inherit a real product, a substantial user base, a strong core business, an ambitious product roadmap, extensive customer insight, and more ideas than the team can currently bring to market.

This is an opportunity for someone who sees that foundation and immediately begins imagining what to build.

What You Will Build

A Distinctive Point of View

Define what the company believes about careers, job searches, ambition, work, money, fulfillment, and AI. Turn those beliefs into a sharp, recognizable, and useful public voice.

The company does not want to publish generic advice designed to appeal to everyone. It wants to give language to what professionals are already experiencing, help them understand what is changing, and provide practical guidance on what to do next.

A Compounding Content and Audience Engine

Build the system for identifying important ideas, conducting research, producing excellent work, distributing it through the right channels, learning from the results, and expanding what resonates.

The company has already developed momentum across long-form and short-form video. You will build on that foundation while raising the quality bar across:

  • Founder-led and company-led content

  • Social media

  • Newsletters and editorial

  • Original research and data stories

  • Product education

  • Video and multimedia

  • Tools, experiments, and emerging formats

The goal is to create work that travels because it articulates something people feel, reveals something they did not know, tells a recognizable human story, or helps them take a meaningful next step.

Go-to-Market That Reflects the Brand

Translate product breakthroughs, customer pain points, workforce shifts, and relevant cultural moments into launches and campaigns that generate demand.

You will work closely with product, design, lifecycle, and growth. Content should not operate as a separate marketing function; it should sharpen the product narrative, help customers experience value, create reasons to return, and build trust long before someone is ready to buy.

An AI-Native Creative Function

Use AI, agents, automation, and lightweight systems throughout the creative process, including:

  • Research and synthesis

  • Ideation and drafting

  • Editing and repurposing

  • Production and distribution

  • Measurement and analysis

  • Operational workflows

The objective is not to flood the internet with synthetic content. It is to eliminate repetitive work so the team can apply more human judgment, creativity, and taste where those qualities matter most.

You will also help define how the company communicates about AI. Its work should focus on human stories involving ambition, uncertainty, reinvention, confidence, money, and possibility—showing how AI can expand a person’s agency rather than diminish it.

What You Will Do

  • Define and protect the company’s editorial point of view and public voice.

  • Turn customer insights, product knowledge, market changes, and raw founder ideas into clear narratives and memorable creative work.

  • Grow organic reach, social audiences, impressions, and meaningful engagement.

  • Build repeatable content franchises and distribution loops across video, social, editorial, and other high-leverage channels.

  • Produce research-driven and data-informed content about careers, work, and AI.

  • Make the company’s products tangible through product stories, customer stories, education, useful tools, and demonstrations.

  • Develop campaigns around product launches, job-market changes, AI, ambition, and the future of work.

  • Help the founder and broader team communicate more clearly and consistently without removing their individual personalities.

  • Create an operating system for research, creation, editing, publishing, repurposing, measurement, and learning.

  • Build automated workflows that increase creative output and distribution capacity without lowering the quality bar.

  • Run experiments, retire weak ideas quickly, and turn successful ideas into repeatable systems.

  • Connect creative work to audience growth, trust, traffic, activation, conversion, retention, and revenue.

  • Develop a network of collaborators, creators, contractors, and specialists around the strategies that work.

  • Remain hands-on and create the early work yourself before building a larger team.

How Success Will Be Measured

The company is not looking for empty impressions or manufactured engagement. It wants meaningful awareness: more of the right people discovering the brand, remembering it, joining the conversation, and taking action.

Success will be evaluated across:

  • Reach: Organic impressions and non-follower reach increase, with strong work traveling beyond the company’s existing audience.

  • Resonance: People watch, finish, save, share, discuss, and respond—not simply tap “like.”

  • Audience: Social and owned audiences grow with people genuinely interested in careers, work, AI, and the company’s products.

  • Authority: The company’s ideas are cited, repeated, debated, and used to help people understand changes in the workforce.

  • Product demand: More people understand what the platform makes possible, and content generates qualified traffic, sign-ups, activation, and repeat usage.

  • Compounding impact: Winning ideas become repeatable formats, franchises, and distribution loops instead of isolated successes.

Who You Are

  • You are already highly skilled in at least one relevant discipline and remain deeply motivated to improve.

  • You have a strong appetite for new tools, formats, technologies, and ideas.

  • When something powerful emerges, you experiment with it rather than waiting for a formal rollout or course.

  • You are deeply engaged with AI but have not lost sight of the people using it.

  • You understand technology well enough to create original work about it and have the empathy to focus that work on human possibility.

  • You are both creative and technically curious.

  • You are comfortable working with systems, APIs, data, prompts, automation, and unfamiliar interfaces.

  • You have strong creative judgment and can recognize when an idea is sharp, a sentence is flat, or a campaign feels forced.

  • You take ownership and do not interpret a lack of instructions as a lack of opportunity.

  • You think in systems and want to understand why something worked so that it can be repeated and improved.

  • You enjoy making things, developing your craft, and doing difficult work with people who care.

  • You want to see and measure the impact of your work.

Evidence Matters More Than Credentials

The company is less concerned with a specific number of years of experience than with what you have built, how you think, how quickly you learn, and what happens when you take ownership.

Strong indicators may include:

  • Building a newsletter, media property, audience, community, creator brand, product, course, agency, campaign engine, tool, or another initiative from the ground up.

  • Demonstrating range across writing, narrative development, video, social media, product marketing, launches, creative direction, or distribution.

  • Producing long-form or short-form video that retained attention and generated meaningful discussion.

  • Turning research, proprietary data, or complex subject matter into content professionals genuinely wanted to read, watch, and share.

  • Showing how an idea progressed from insight to execution and measurable impact.

  • Using AI and automation to become meaningfully more capable—not simply faster at producing average work.

  • Working closely with a founder, customers, or product team and turning incomplete or messy inputs into clarity.

  • Maintaining a visible body of work, side projects, experiments, or other evidence of taste, curiosity, and follow-through.

  • Learning from real projects that did not succeed as planned.

Your trajectory and body of work matter more than your title.

This Role May Not Be for You If

  • You are looking for a strategy-only position.

  • You need a detailed brief before you can begin.

  • You want to manage the work without creating the first version yourself.

  • You view content primarily as a calendar to fill or inventory to produce.

  • You are waiting for AI technology to stabilize before engaging seriously with it.

  • You equate using AI with accepting generic output.

  • You require certainty before taking ownership.

  • You want a role that asks very little of you.

This is a high-ownership opportunity with considerable autonomy and responsibility. The company values sustainable performance and does not expect constant availability, but it is looking for someone who cares deeply about the craft and is genuinely energized by the work.

The team focuses on outcomes rather than performative hours. You will have significant control over your schedule, along with meaningful responsibility for the results you create.

Why Join

The world of work is changing in real time, and professionals are navigating a constant stream of abstraction, anxiety, and advice that quickly becomes outdated.

This company has the product, customer trust, data, independence, and speed to build something better. It is small enough for one exceptional person to influence its trajectory and established enough for the work to reach a meaningful audience immediately.

You will have the freedom to create the first version, the responsibility to demonstrate what works, and the opportunity to build the function around it.
