Hansen Toft is recruiting a Head of Accounting & Reporting on behalf of an undisclosed company
Head of Accounting & Reporting
Take ownership of Group accounting and develop Finance alongside the CFO
Would you like to apply your accounting expertise in a role with broad responsibility and direct access to the Group CFO? You will lead Group accounting, reporting and financial governance, combining professional oversight with hands-on delivery.
Your task is to build a more scalable Group Finance function, providing reliable financial information and a sound basis for financing, capital allocation and business decisions.
Lead reporting and strengthen financial processes
You will be responsible for accounting and reporting at Group and parent-company level, working closely with local finance teams, FP&A, IT, auditors and external advisers. Local teams retain responsibility for their financial operations. Your role is to set clear standards, provide guidance and build effective collaboration across the organisation.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead IFRS consolidation, maintain accounting policies and prepare technical accounting assessments.
- Manage annual reporting and external audits, preparing financial statements and supporting documentation for CFO review.
- Ensure Danish parent-company reporting and statutory compliance, coordinating external accounting, payroll and advisory providers.
- Coordinate transfer pricing and intercompany documentation with specialists, and support covenant reporting, financing governance and treasury procedures.
- Strengthen financial controls, data quality and accounting requirements for systems in collaboration with local finance teams, FP&A and IT.
- Develop and implement a Finance Strategy Roadmap with the CFO and finance colleagues, including standardisation, automation and AI-supported workflows.
- Manage and develop one direct report.
Bring accounting expertise and a collaborative approach
You hold a relevant qualification such as HD(R), cand.merc.aud. or equivalent. You may come from a senior Group Finance or Group Financial Controller role in an international organisation, or from a Big 4 firm at Senior Manager or Director level serving complex international clients.
You bring:
- Strong expertise in IFRS, consolidation and Group reporting.
- Experience with annual reports, external audits, technical accounting and Danish statutory requirements.
- An understanding of intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, financing and covenants.
- The ability to prepare clear accounting papers and decision materials independently.
Experience from an international production company is an advantage. Previous people management experience is not required.
You take ownership, enjoy detailed accounting work and combine sound judgement with a structured approach. Your down-to-earth manner builds trust, and you challenge constructively while respecting local responsibilities.
Fluency in written and spoken Danish and English is required.
Work flexibly and make a visible impact
You can be based anywhere in Denmark, with a highly flexible hybrid setup, access to an office in Copenhagen and regular in-person contact with the CFO and relevant colleagues. Expect 25-30 travel days a year to work with international teams.
You will have room to put your ideas into practice in a lean international organisation. Close professional dialogue with the CFO, structured onboarding and autonomy in organising your work will support you in shaping Group Finance.
